TMI TMI TMI - Question about Vagina

Okay, so I took a shower today and felt a bump so pulled out a mirror and flashlight and investigated. Was just an ingrown hair. Fine. But while spread eagle over mirror with flashlight, I noticed that inside of my vagina there's something in there....I don't know. Protruding isn't really the right word because it's still in my vagina, it's deep red/purple, and it seems like my bits have sort of spread/torn around it and this thing is pressing down. Not a mucous plug (according to a brave search of google images). When I touched it, it was very tender. But I'm tender and sensitive and a little swollen down there in general. Any thoughts on this? I have an OB appointment Monday morning but just curious if anyone has experience with this? I don't feel like I need to go to ER or page dr, just wondering? I don't think it's a varicose vein. It's quite large and doesn't look like varicose veins.

It's quite common for women to get cysts while pregnant. Due to extra blood flow Ect. I have one, although I don't know what it looks like.. I know it's a lump about the size of a penny and doc found it on a pelvic exam. Internal cysts don't usually hurt tho.. So I'd have your doc check it out to rule out any infections.

Maybe a rectocele - although less likely for you if you're a FTM. May require another brave Google image search to see if that matches what you've got.

And I'm a STM. But I don't remember ever bringing a mirror and a flashlight to the party last time around. Pregnancy is so fabulous.

Maybe it's a varicose vein. It can be pretty startling and gross.

I don't know but I have to comment on your bravery. I did a Google search to see what a mucus plug looks like and I wasn't so brave. When I read about your brave Google search I couldn't help but laugh lol

Sounds like a bartholin cyst. I had one a few years ago. It was like inside the labia. I massaged it out but I don't know if you can always do that.

Could also be a polyp. They're common during pregnancy too

Thanks for all the responses! So I went to the doctor and she said.... "THATS YOUR VAGINA". And I said "yeah, but that swollen thing in there that's kinda purple?? what's that?" and she said "Your vagina. The baby's head is pushing it down and swelling it and makes it look like this. This is how all third tri vaginas look". 

My response, "Wow. Your job really sucks, doc". 

So there you have it. Awkward.
