What is the date(s) of your shower(s)? Who's throwing it for you, ect.

My in-laws are having a seperate shower for us on May 30th. It's a little early but all of their family will already be in town because my MIL is having a retirement party the day before. Hopefully I start showing more! I'm pretty excited it's early and not late though! My side of the family as well as my good friends keep telling me they want to come to a shower in my hometown and even suggested event spaces but no one has volunteered to have it for me. I just keep saying nothing is planned yet so I have no idea. I guess maybe I won't have one with my family & friends bc I can't plan one myself. It's still early though.

So when is your shower & who is throwing it for you?

My in-laws are throwing us a co-ed shower over Memorial Day weekend. It seems odd to have one so early, but that was the date that worked best for them and us, we live in Utah, they live in Michigan, and the shower will be in Michigan. In August we'll have a shower in our hometown with friends. I co-hosted two showers for friends of mine and the friends I co-hosted with are planning to co-host my shower. 

Maybe the next time your family or friends mention wanting to go to your shower, you could let them know you'd love to have them at your shower, but so far no one has offered to host one for you. Hopefully one of them will step up to the plate if they know that no one else has already.

How come your side of the family and friends can't come to the one your MIL is having for you. I had a friend offer to throw a shower for me, but because she has some personal issues with some of the people I would want to invite (like my MIL) I literally just asked my cousin if she would do it instead (then i can use the excuse "well my cousin is already planning it") knowing she would enthusiastically agree, which she did. She has been calling me with all kinds of cute ideas!

Both of mine are on the early side.
My sister is law is throwing one, and it's Memorial Day weekend. I live in FL, she lives in IN, and the shower is in hubby hometown in IL. It was the date that seemed to work best since I'll have to fly up there, and we already have a June baby moon trip planned- and I want thrilled to be flying after July.
My best friend is due the first week of July and wants to throw me a shower before she has her baby, so we went with June 6- unless her little one comes early!
I feel blessed to have people who are so excited to celebrate our little one!

My parents are hosting one Memorial Day weekend for me (I'll be just over 25 weeks) as it's the weekend before they leave for their summer long road trip. My in laws and SIL aren't able to make it and offered to host one later in the summer. My parents won't be there for it, but it happens.

Mine is set for July 19th too @missmandah! Each side of our immediate family is close by but it was hard finding a date because my sisters have so many weddings to attend this year! My sisters are throwing it for me

July 19th also, my mom is throwing it for me. I think that's a bit late because I have a feeling I'm going to be miserable (18w5d and my ankles/feet are already swelling) but my parents are going on vacation before that so that's the date.

I'm giving my own with my fiancée on August 1st, a friend of mine offered to give it but her mom recently died and she is overwhelmed with her life. I don't want to burden her during this difficult time so I went ahead and booked the venue for a jack and jill brunch for 50-60 and if she comes around before then she can help otherwise we are all set

I live in two places so I'm having two showers, one at each place. Norcal shower is June 14, thrown by my BFF from college and new BFF. It will be a coed brunch, 40 invited.

Socal shower is July 12, thrown by my good friend who is a mother of 4. Since my DH's work friends are coming, DH's staff is helping plan it. It will be a coed Baby-Q, 90 on the invite list.

I'm not sure! We haven't even told anyone yet, not even family! This will be our fourth but we never had showers for the first three (with the first we had just relocated across the country and didn't know anyone, with the twins there was a shower planned but then we had a blizzard, and by the time it got rescheduled they were born prematurely!) so I'm guessing our friends may do one for this baby, especially since we have absolutely nothing left from the first three. From the showers I've been to they have been held within a month of the due date, so probably late July I guess! Definitely after baby would likely be ok if born prematurely.

Two of my aunts are visiting my mom from out of state around June 11th, so we're going to do a small family one that weekend. My boyfriend's mom has offered to buy us plane tickets to visit them so she can throw us a shower down there with his friends and family but we haven't set a date for that yet. As for our local friends/co-workers, I think we're probably gonna do some sort of no-host, co-ed barbecue in mid July since I don't have many girl friends and BF and I work for the same company.

My great aunt and her daughter and her granddaughter offered to host my shower.  We are still trying to figure out the date.  I originally wanted a Saturday in July, but the granddaughter is also pregnant and due in late July.  All but one of the weekends in June are already busy, so it looks like it might be May!

Also having 2! One on the farm when im 26 weeks (the drive there is 5 hours so rather earlier) my SIL and MIL will plan it and one closer to home when im 32 weeks that my mom will plan. Blessed to have two showers! :x

I love in NC and will be traveling to IN for my sisters graduation the first week in June. It seems early, but all of our family will already be there, so that's the most logical time for us!

My best friend and MIL are throwing us a co-ed baby-q on June 27th! I chose the date because it's the only time this year that all my sisters can be here from out of state. My sisters are the only family I have on my side (and a few friends), so strangely enough, it will be mostly hubby's family haha!

My MIL is also throwing my shower on June 28.  I just have my Aunt in NY and 2 cousins on the west coast so it will also be mainly friends and DH family.  I so dislike these things LoL....im just hoping she decided to have it indoors and not outside!  I don't say anything to her bc i don't wanna sound like an asshole, but end of June outside being that pregnant?  I need some A/C haha

Well what a bummer! Hopefully your friends can at least take you out for a special mommy-to-be dinner or something! This is my first but I'm soaking up all the stuff that will be harder to do after baby comes, even just date nights with hubby :-) Congrats on baby!!!

My mil is throwing be one June 5th out of state. . Which is why its so early and we're having our friends one here June 27th. My sisters getting married in July so that month is already crazy and august is too close to my due date in my opinion so we decided to do it earlier! Plus more time to get the nursery together and buy any remaining items

My shower is May 9th and my mom and sister are throwing it. Invites are out, registry is done, and I'm getting really excited! My mom is out of the country in June and we will be moving in July (I'm due in late August) so May was our only option-- I can't wait!

I'm not planning on having mine until August either @KellyT22. Most Mommas are afraid of delivering early I think, or to have enough time to prepare for baby after the shower. This is my 3rd baby (first girl though) and my Mom and Aunt are hosting. I've already made all of the big purchases, and am prepared even if we didn't have a shower. I can't wait to get all the cutesy pink princess outfits (after having two boys, everybody is excited for this girl!) and sparkly shoes. It's really just a sprinkle, so my it'll be my aunts, cousins, and a few close friends.

Mine is June 27 and June 28. I didn't want them too late or too early. One is for family and the other is for friends. MIL is throwing them.

  You could possibly go early and just a matter of being comfortable I think.  The "normal" time according to the almighty Google is having it around your 32 weeks i believe.  I'll be almost 30 weeks for mine because of other weddings and showers.

My mom and sister are talking about throwing me one early august or late july. Then my future SIL wants to throw me one, but I'm not sure when she is thinking. My coworkers also want to throw me one sometime in August. And this last weekend some of our other friends decided they wanted to throw us a big co-ed baby bbq sometime this summer. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed lol. This summer is going to be crazy if they all actually go through with their plans

August 8th. My mom and best friend (male and gay) are throwing it for me. They're the two most supportive people in my life and are pretty much the same person so knowing them it will be absurdly extravagant.

We can't seem to find a date between us(sister/mom/friend)that 'works' between holidays, vacations, birthdays, weddings, engagement parties, other births(LOL), etc. ugh. Getting frustrated because I don't want it in May. lol. It's mid-April and I don't even look pregnant yet at almost 19 weeks..or know what we should get. I like doing product research!! There is no way in ready to make a registry. I'm leaning toward EARLY August!!!!! I know it's late since I'm due the 9th of September, but we will buy all our own big items and such. Plus, my summer online classes will be over so I will be able to actually enjoy myself! I don't mind being huge for it the pictures. LOL

@Sarahm8687 I'm also thinking early August! I'm due on Sept. 9th! Just curious when your due date is?! :-) Everyone thinks I'm waiting to late. Lol.

I'm due August 31st & my mother is throwing me a party middle of May. ☺️ I much prefer to have an early shower so I can buy all the stuff I don't get with plenty of time!

My cousin is also throwing me a shower a month later, mid to late June so I have a chance to get more stuff - I'm welcoming hand me downs in good condition, also because obviously anything I don't like I can just toss, haha.

I will have two both being hosted by our moms since no one has offered to host one. One is hosted by my mom at the end of June (I was afraid it would be early I'll be 27 weeks but a lot of you are doing them earlier as well) and we can't do any dates in July. Then my MIL is hosting one for her family and friends in August.

One of my best friends offered to host it the day we told her we were expecting. It will be either July 18 or July 19 depending on which venue we go with. The nicer venue is only available Saturday nights or Sundays. And I don't want a night shower.

My work shower with all my fabulous co workers will probably be August 1st and my family/friends/basically everyone who has ever known me from my home town shower which is being thrown by my fabulous cousin in my hometown will probably be August 15th. The first shower will be smaller but the second will probably be huge.

No idea if I'll even have an official shower, though it's likely my work will throw me a mini-shower.  I don't have many local friends interested in kids, none of the grandmas have said anything about wanting to throw one, and my extended family lives out of the country.  My mom's started buying gender neutral clothing, and my MIL has washed and started sorting through the old baby clothes she kept.  My husband's grandma is interested in starting an education account (she did that for all her grandkids).

I am having one august 1st, (Due SEPTEMBER 28th) Thrown By my step mom. My mil family will want to throw one, but nothing has been talked about yet. Sounds like I should get on that!

@LoveLee85 I'm due Sept 30th which would make me 32 weeks at my shower! I have family coming from Wisconsin for the PGA Golf tournament here in Akron, Oh so it worked out really well so you're waiting a little later than I am but you have to do it when it works for you!!

I graduate next month so my friends at school are planning mine at the end of this month before they all run off to college! Then my work is planning one, my side of the family is planning one, and his side is giving me one also! Im going to have more than enough stuff! :P
