@mellymar curious if you can nap at all during the day ? I'm having trouble doing even that!!! But I have other shit going on as well obviously.
Had a good 3.5 hr sleep last night it was nice to fall asleep at the same time as my husband.
Thankful for a really active baby and no anxiety over that. Thinking of all the ladies on that thread w that prob/anxiety. I have other weird anxieties like something will be wrong w my baby and craziness in my head in general that prob comes w being an FTM.
@klkonwi I used to nap (ahh... The first trimester), but now I'm not able to. I'm plenty tired enough, and I'll be plenty comfortable enough - but I just can't actually get to sleep. I end up just kinda staring out at nothing - I call it zombie mode. Something terrible could be on TV and I'm thinking to myself I need to change the channel but I just zombie out and don't change it, and continue to think foggily that I hate what I am seeing / hearing and I should change it. I can lose a whole hour or more that way.
Sorry that guy got you sick @Westypet. What the hell was a guy doing at a baby shower anyways? I was sick a while back and its SO miserable not being able to even take some damned meds! Smashy, indeed
I keep having anxiety attacks. Feels like my heart is beating out my chest an BC I can't breathe no matter what position I'm in I feel like I'm suffocating.
Feeling pretty grumpy / down in the dumps lately ...dont know why ! Its very annoying!! Still facing dizziness grrr and also like u other ladies want to nap but cant ever when normally i am a napping queen! Dont want to be grouchy pregnant lady
Cramps and diarreah out of no where just as I was about to leave for work. This might be tmi but I have been very lucky with no cramping. This morning it hurt and as I was sitting doing my thing I realized "holy crap. It's gonna be way worse than this soon." Fun times
So.very.tired. No appetite. (which is a huge change for me in this pregnancy)
Also, and please tell me if this is weird, my pelvic area hurts, not all the time but like, bending over or getting up out of bed, it feels like a weight is crushing my pelvic bone. A friend told me its the baby dropping into position. I'll be 30 weeks Sunday so I didn't know if that is too early for him to be that low but it's painful. Certain sleeping positions which used to be comfy are not now because of the pressure.
I had a terrible dream last night that my stomach opened up and my baby just fell out. Then I wasn't able to see it. It was so real that I woke up thinking "I hope they let me see my baby." Ugh, it was terrible. These dreams can stop any time now.
Does anyone else have itchiness on their stomach that can't be scratched successfully? What I mean by that is, it doesn't feel like it's my skin that's itchy, but it feels deeper somehow. So I end up putting lotion on, and/or scratching, and it doesn't do a darn thing...

I have itching on/in my stomach that I can't satisfy. It does feel deeper somehow. The surface scratch just helps in a way like when your tooth hurts and you poke it with your tongue. It still hurts, but in a different way. I don't get satisfaction from scratching except in the sense that I am bringing attention to the area
Well, our a/c is out so no sleep for this little momma with hot flashes. On top of it, an old hand injury has flared up and I can't move my right wrist. Makes getting my enormous butt out of bed or off the couch to pee quite fun....not.

I'm really looking forward to putting myself in Zombie mode this weekend. I just have to get through today, and hopefully adrenalin will do that!

Did I mention I was tired....
I'm 28 + 4 and have random pelvic pressure, especially when rolling over in bed. And my tail bone hurts. My head was hurting this morning, thinking it's allergies because the pollen is out of control right now.
ETA: I just Googled doughnut pillows and found some that actually look like doughnuts. That's so happening.

Yes! My belly has been very itchy lately and I'm trying not to scratch. I use coconut oil which kinda helps. I don't know about you but there are certain fabrics I can't wear anymore. Yesterday I was so annoyed with the itchiness that I had to change my shirt a couple times.
Aside from an itchy belly. My appetite is waning. I'll feel really hungry but halfway through my meal I get really full and nauseous.

I have this! I have a natural oil spray that I bought at a maternity store... it's by BON natural oils (I think) and has grapeseed and rosehip oil in it. It was pricey ($25 for a pretty small bottle) but I use it every day after I get out of the shower and have really noticed a difference. I can definitely tell on the days when I forget to use it. Later today I can try to find a link to it if you're interested in getting some for yourself.
I am so freaking sleepy. Today, especially. I've been fighting dozing off at my desk all morning, it's terrible. And I sleep like the dead, too. I got up twice last night to pee but promptly fell right back asleep. FitBit said I got something like 6 1/2 hours. It's never enough anymore, though.
I'm peeing about once an hour at this point when I'm awake. Which is awesome. In fact, I finish peeing, stand up to pull up my pants and feel like i could pee again! Madness.
Other than that and the general pressure in my abdomen and pelvis, I'm feeling pretty good, just plugging (or should I say waddling) right along.
Soo tired... Apparently I'm one of the lucky ones who has taken to snoring during pregnancy, so between not getting comfy, peeing every couple hours, and waking myself up/waking DH up with my snoring.. Ugh!! Just feeling generally worn out. And not a real appetite anymore, but then I'll be ravenous 15 minutes later for a few minutes. Less than 8 weeks... I just keep reminding myself that..

I just feel like Chuck Norris kicked me in general vaginal area when I try to get out of bed...or bend over...or try to put on pants...screw pants...I'm wondering if I could get away with alternating 3 dresses til June... I've been walking around 2 miles a day every day I can (which is usually 4 or 5 times a week) and it has helped with the sciatic pain but this pelvic pressure is...just OW.
So, nightime trips to the bathroom have become my own personal battle of wills. I wake up, needing to pee, but attempt to convince myself that I don't actually have to go and instead just lie there willing myself to fall back asleep. Needless to say my bladder wins out every time and I end up just wasting perfectly good sleeping time. Bah.
Like so many of you, I am ridiculously tired. Though I'm able to get comfortable and take naps, DH is the enemy of sleep, up at all hours making noise and all that fun stuff. I noticed I'm a much lighter sleeper now that I'm pregnant and I miss the days where I could sleep through trains and earthquakes. Other than tiredness, I have a bad pain in my right hip that makes bending, putting on pants and getting in/out of the car even more difficult. Also as some of you have shared, I have that belly itch you can't scratch. I'm using coconut oil which kind of helps, but otherwise not much I can do to relieve it. Also have weird chafed, dry skin on my face that is super cute...

I have SO done this. 'I don't have to pee that bad. I can sleep a little longer till its time to get up. It'll be fine' Yeah, I just waste time laying there growing more uncomfortable, and by the time I finally relent and go, I've been up so long I have a hard time falling back asleep.
Is anyone else experiencing a sore belly button/area around there? I apologize if this has been discussed... it seems weird that the soreness is limited to that area and not my whole stomach.

Yes. I have this on and off. I think I've had Braxton hicks today although I'm still not sure. I'm trying to drink water and stay off my feet, but I'm a teacher so that's not easy. I had a really long day yesterday, and I'm looking forward to going home and laying down! Just feeling tired. 30 weeks tomorrow!

Doughnut pillows are heaven!! I've started having pelvic and tailbone pain (28w2d) and its terrible. I broke my tailbone with DD and it saved my life. I'm definitely going to get one soon.

Yay for 30 weeks! I've had braxton hicks since about week 20. Super fun!
Had a very big presentation at work today (nailed it!!!). Spoke for 45 minutes and kept finding myself totally out of breath, having to pause for a moment here and there. Sort of surprised myself because I didn't think the topic was getting me so worked up. Only afterwards did I realize - duh! Reduced lung capacity! Made me laugh. Fortunately the room was set up in a way that let me present sitting down.
It seriously has made such a huge difference for me. I use it as soon as I get out of the shower in the morning and no itching for the rest of the day! Sometimes I do have to reapply at night but usually I don't. On mornings when I forget to use it, I can definitely tell because I'm scratching all day. Like I said before, it is a bit pricey, but I would definitely buy it again - and it's lasted me a while. I bought it back in January and the bottle is still 3/4 full.
This would also probably be a good thing to look into for those of you who are having itchy boobs - that's actually why I bought this in the first place, though I haven't needed it in a while. But the woman who owns the store where I bought this (Happy Baby Company) told me that it is safe to use there too, although as you get close to your due date you should switch to nipple butter because this is NOT safe for baby to ingest.
I've been using the honest company baby balm after every shower in the AM and I haven't had problems with itching at all! I started at about 16 weeks. Not sure if I'm lucky or it's the balm, but I thought I'd throw that out there. It's safe for boobs too.
Slept for 3 hours last night, got up to do some housework instead of laying awake. Casually laid back down at 6am and woke up 8 hours later. Ha! There went the day..
And now trying with all my willpower to squeeze a poop out. It's been 4 days so I'm a tad uncomfortable. Damn iron.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.

Hey, i'm really sorry to hear about your anxiety. I've had panic attacks for years so I know how unpleasant this is. I don't really have any suggestions for you but I hope you feel better.: )

Ugh! I know the feeling! When I had anemia I used floradix which is a liquid iron. It wasn't as constipating like the pills. The good thing about liquid iron is you can mix it in some OJ. To me it had a weird taste to it so mixing it helped. I hope you find relief soon!
Re: Daily Symptoms / No Symptoms Wed 4/8
Very pregnant.
Fatigued.
Sore.
Headachey.
Mopey.
Smashy.

Peeing, all the time. Funnily enough, I did sleep the past 2 nights, so that was awesome. I have random RLP's and Charlie horses that kill!
Also, going through 2 pairs of undies and 2 liners a day. That's pretty awesome. TMI, but I think it's more pee than anything. Kegals, man! Kegals!

me: um... yeah. why?
DH: you sound like you're having trouble breathing!
me: oh. yeah. I kind of am today.
