bug spray debate

Hello! I'm traveling outside the US next week. Does anyone recommend any safe bug spray repellent to use?

Not looking to debate, but from everything I've read, bug spray is not harmful to baby. If you're concerned about deet though, you could use Skin So Soft. I also used one of those little personal bug repelling fans that off makes when DS was an infant. They work moderately well.

stuff without DEET.  Also citrus essential oils and peppermint oil repels bugs.

I used skin so soft during my first pregnancy, but if I was visiting an area with mosquito diseases, I'd go for the DEET. The diseases would be more harmful to baby than the DEET.

I use an organic, all natural insect repellent lotion.i buy it from a local store, but if you look locally at a natural store im sure they would have it. The skin absorbs everything, and also you would be inhailing the toxins everytime you spray it..for me, if its a product i wouldnt drink, i dont put it on my skin either.
