Groin hernia/ round ligament vein

I'm 27 weeks and have developed one of the two. Dr. says the only way to tell is to have an ultrasound on the area. I'm hoping it's the vein and not a hernia. The hernia scares me. I'm not suppose to lift my daughter or strain myself which is fine but how am I suppose to push my baby out if I'm not suppose to strain? Lots of questions for my dr. at my next apt. Anyone else experiencing this or have you had a baby with no complications with a groin hernia? Thank you for any input!
