I had my "big" ultrasound at about 21 weeks and everything looked good and he was moving great but then the doctor told us later that his kidneys were measuring slightly larger than they should have been which could mean just about anything. Doctor said that they will have to keep an eye on it but said it'll probably be fine. I'm still worried tho. I'm 27w2d right now and will be almost 29w by the time I have my next ultrasound!

Most of the time these things fix themselves over time so that's why they are asking you to wait 8 weeks before the next one. If they were truly concerned they would have scheduled it sooner. So don't stress right now. If it is still there at this one they may give you a more u/s your last trimester (possibly every 4 weeks).
I had something show up at 27 weeks and I have to go back every 4 to get another u/s until it fixes itself. They want to monitor it more because I was in my last trimester when they found it (I had less time for it to fix itself).

My LO had fluid in his kidneys and by the second appointment it fixed itself.. I wouldn't worry to much.. It is very common.
