DH suggested Carmen, and I really like it. WDYT of the name Carmen?

Our last name begins with Ar, similar to Arnott. My only reservation about Carmen is that Car and Ar are too similar. Does it not flow or am I just overthinking it?

Middle name is Renee, if it matters.

The only Carmen's I've known are women. Seems funny to me to even think of it on a man. May be regional or something. Typically most that I've known are Hispanic descent. I have one Caucasian God mother whose name is Carman with a "man" ending. It's not in my favorites but it's a nice name.

I think in the Spanish culture it might be used for males sometimes, like Ariel, but to me it's 100% female in the US. No?
