Best stretch mark cream?

any repeat moms have input on what stretch mark cream they liked best? I know it's early.

Re: Best stretch mark cream?

  • During my last pregnancy I just used lavender oil. I started it pretty early on and continued using it until my belly went down after delivery. Not even one stretch mark!

  • Awesome I'll have to try that! And I love the smell of lavender :)
  • Coconut oil....that has a nice effect.
  • With my first pregnancy I tried all those pregnancy creams and I broke out with skin rashes with all of them. It was horrible! Not to mention a lot of money down the drain. Anyways, after reading articles I found out just using something with cocoa butter in it will help so I found a normal lotion with cocoa butter and used that during pregnancy and then after having baby I used celtrixa. I had white little stretch marks on my hip area(love handles) and using that celtrixa fixed all that I can't even see anything. I did this with my second pregnancy as well and will do it this time too! Hope this helps

  • I've heard from other Mom's who are close friends with that Bio-oil was fantastic..
  • @madisonsmith11 thank you so much for posting this! I was thinking the same thing! And thanks other ladies for the responses!!
  • I used Neutrogena vitamin e oil for both of my babies (one I gained over 65pounds) and I haven't got a single stretch mark. I'm trusting it with this one too!
  • Belly balm from the honest company !!!
  • I second belly balm from honest!
  • How early is too early to start using something for stretch marks? I'm ready to start using it now but I'm not sure if that sounds a little silly :\">
  • Thanks everyone for the great suggestions! @srotureau I have been using a cheap coco butter one that I picked up from walgreens. I just wanted to invest in possibly a better one once I am actually growing. I may be crazy but I think it's better to start early than too late! I started applying it the day after I found out! I am 5 weeks tomorrow haha so super early.

Haha, I'm already using this oil for stretch marks, not necessarily because I need it yet, but I'd rather get into the routine of it now. Plus, it never hurts to have nicely moisturized skin!
  • Thank you! Glad to know I'm not the only one!
  • I agree! @kmd91 my skin has looked and felt so much better and I am just using coco butter. I want to try all these suggestions.
  • Just so you know the creams don't really prevent stretch marks. You will either get them or not depending on genetics mostly. But the creams will help with itching and comfort. I didn't get stretch marks and used coco butter lotion but don't think the lotion really had anything to do with it. Good luck ;)
  • Has any tried Mustela? It was recommend by my SIL and has great reviews. I bought some and used it once but it's a lot more liquidy and not as hydrating so it makes me think it isn't working as good.
  • I see someone mentioned coconut oil. Anyone else use this? My mother uses it for everything but haven't heard of it for stretch marks until now!
  • Stretch marks are genetic...
