Mattress alternatives for Mini Co-Sleeper?

We just received the Arm's Reach Mini Co-Sleeper and I put it together to see if we'll be happy with it once baby arrives.
I like the size and it seems like it will work well, but I'm very unhappy with the "mattress" which is thin and doesn't feel very flat to me. Anyone have one of these who found a good alternative out there?
