xp: How many ultrasounds have you had/ will you have?

I ask out of curiosity.  I have a lot of anxiety and as an IVF patient I've probably had more than most already.  I requested another one at 35 weeks because I've had a few things I'm worried about and the doctor is trying to set my mind at ease.  That said, I start to get paranoid that maybe I've had too many and it could hurt the baby.  I've only seen speculative articles online re: effects of ultrasounds, nothing that seems overly scientific, but I'm just curious about everyone else.  (I had one at 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 11 weeks, 12 weeks, 19 weeks, and 28 weeks- so 6 total and 7 if I keep my last one.)   How many ultrasounds have you had/ will you have?

I had two to confirm pregnant and provide EDD very early on (6 and 7 weeks)
Since then I had one in first trimester (nuchal translucency), one at 20 weeks, and one at 30 weeks (growth check). That's it!

I've had 7 so far and will have another in 2 weeks at 32 weeks for a growth scan. Not sure how many more I'll have, but will assume since we have twins I'll have a few more.

sweetpotato123  Okay, that reassures me! I assumed multiple and high risk pregnancies had to be several more than normal!

I will have 7 after Thursday's OB appt.  Not sure if she will want to do any more after that.  What you are getting sounds normal to me.

I have had 6.  I had 4 with the RE before graduating, I had more than normal because of bleeding.  Then my OB wanted to do a confirmation despite having one at the RE and my 20 week anatomy scan.  My OB says she will "find a reason" to do one in the 3rd trimester.  So, it should total 7.

I have had 3; at 13 wks, 22 wks and 33 wks. But I'm not a high-risk pregnancy. 

My infertility brain was going crazy with worry through most of the pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. But in retrospect (now I'm almost at 40 wks), I'm glad I wasn't able to get more. It would've just fed into the worry and obsession.

I think everyone is different. I am also IVF and I have had aprox 20 so far, having another tomorrow at 29 weeks. My Dr wanted to monitor my pregnancy closely since I was IVF and had a previous miscarriage. She hasn't expressed any concern over the number of ultrasounds and if anything she said they have helped diagnosis some minor issues in my pregnancy that would have been overlooked (OHSS, small hematoma, low placenta, and irritable uterus). My baby is doing great so far I think the number of ultrasounds really depends on your medical and health situation.

I had one at 6, 8 and 10 weeks. I will have one more at 20 unless there is a problem and I need to have more.

I am only 9 weeks 3 days and have had 7 so far. I graduate from RE after three more and then I don't known I guess there aren't many from there.

I've had 12 so far and I'll be 20 weeks on Thursday. I'll now have them every 4 weeks in a schedule. I'm high risk for several reasons (high blood pressure, spotting/bleeding, a possible autoimmune disorder, and a choroid plexus cyst) so they want to constantly monitor baby and do measurements.

I had one at week 5,6 and 7 at RE, then one at 12 weeks at MFM. I have another at 20 weeks for a/s at MFM. I am guessing that'll be my last.

I'm 23 weeks and I've had 8.  I'm having twins so I think I have them more often.  I will have another in 2 weeks for a cervical check.  My MFM will see me ever 2 weeks after that for cervical checks, so I'll be getting quite a few more!  My OB or MFM have not expressed any concern at all over having so many.

I have had about 14 ultrasounds so far. 5 with the RE 3 with MFM and get one with the OB at every appointment. I am having Twins and was diagnosed with GD at 11 weeks.

I did a FET so... 5 days, 6 weeks, 8 weeks (ER-bleeding scare), 8 weeks (RE), 12 weeks (OB), NT scan. So six so far at 13 weeks.
