Baby gate for stairs. Weird set up

I need a gate for my stairs, needs to attach to bannister and then the wall across is not even with bannister, so am having a hard time. Any suggestions?

Re: Baby gate for stairs. Weird set up

  • We have an uneven staircase bottom as well as a very open kitchen/living room area. We opted for a fenced off play area in the living room and a gate at the top. They are not running around downstairs without supervision that way. :)
  • We have a 3 panel gate from our staircase to the wall across from it (not even with the staircase). Our gate screws into the wall so I did that like normal on one side and I have it zip tied to the bannister on our staircase. I'm not sure if this is a possibility for you but if you can, it really works great!

  • We have 2 of these in our house, 3 years in and they still work and look great.
