Help, pelvic pain!!!

Has anyone else been experiencing pelvic pain? Hurts so bad when I walk. I did talk to my Dr and he says it's normal the closer you get to delivery. Anybody have any recommendations for comfort? ^#(^

I'm in the same boat. My doctor recommended maternity compression tights. I haven't tried them yet because my back hurts hurts so bad that I have to stay off my feet as much a possible. Taking it very easy helps a lot.

  • @Mwest8312 I think this has been discussed pretty recently. I'd suggest using the site's search function to see what others have said. The daily symptoms thread is also a good place to share what you are experiencing and get advice from others. I'm sorry I don't have any good advice for pelvic pain! My issues have been mostly "higher up" (heartburn and shortness of breath). So weird how pregnancy symptoms are so different for each person! Good luck!
  • Yes it was very painful to the point where I couldn't get in and out of the car. Honestly the thing that helped me was walking. Hubby and me walk 30 mins a day. As crazy as it sounds with how much pain your in in the long run it pays off. I still have really bad days sometimes but the pain has eased up a lot.
  • I had the same issue. I work with Neurokenetic Therapists and they determined that both my psoas muscles, which help support the pelvic floor, were not neurologically "online" (you can Google more on NKT therapy). Anyway, once that was corrected, my pelvic pain went away instantly and I was able to walk with no pelvic pain or pressure. Something to look in to. I feel sorry for those suffering from this and being told it's normal when there is a solution available for it.
  • I have pelvic girdle pain, and it feels like my pelvis is coming up through my butt cheek into my back.  I had physical therapy and am supposed to do the exercises at home to help correct and relieve pain.  With this condition, I'm not suppose to push while on my back as it can make it very difficult to impossible to deliver.  I believe I had the same thing with my son but it was at the very end and I never looked into it and I believe it may have contributed to my c-section since he got stuck (could literally see his head for over 3 hours but he couldn't come down) and I was only able to push on my back because of the epidural.
