So. Prior to becoming pregnant my
Husband and I had been trying for several months. Decided to buy the box of 50 wondfos on amazon to save money, and wouldn't you know the 4th one I used turned out to be my BFP. Yay! Just find it funny. I decided to experiment since my first ultrasound was 2 weeks away and I had a miscarriage last year, and take a test every few days to see if they got darker. They did, and progressed nicely until the test line was much darker than the control line at around 5.5 weeks. Yesterday and the day before (6.2-6.3 weeks) the tests I took had very light test lines, which worried me at first but after researching a little I found that apparently hcg reaches a level around 6 weeks that is too high for tests to pick up on, but if you dilute the urine a darker line will show. Didn't believe it at all so had to try it out today and what do you know. The test in the same urine sample that had been diluted was twice as dark. Will try to attach a picture. The test on top is the diluted one. Pretty cool!!

Oh Man... I think I need to just give away my extra tests now ha ha ha. I am 6W2D and have prob been testing every other day since I got my first positive. I was always worried the line would not get darker but now I can start being worried if it doesn't get lighter in another week or so because maybe it means my HCG isnt getting high enough ha ha ha. I did what you did and bought the pack of Wondfos off Amazon and have just been using them up. I think for my sanity I just need to stop testing and wait for my ultra sound next week. Thanks for the info!

Oh goodness no, don't let me worry you! I'm just neurotic about it I guess, and since I had 50 I decided I might as well experiment lol. I'm sure that doesn't happen with every person and every brand of test, I just thought it was kind of neat. Don't really understand it, just did it for fun. Ultrasound is day after tomorrow so I'm going to put them away

Please stop POAS, they'll lighten up the further into the pregnancy you go, as your pregnancy hormone change in the second and third trimesters.

I realize that, as I said...I was just experimenting since I have 46 tests left over. It personally helped my feelings to watch the line get darker over the past couple of weeks, since with my miscarriage the lines never darkened and always stayed faint. So I think that since I bought the tests, and it helps my peace of mind, that it is perfectly fine for me to POAS until I'm 40 weeks if I so choose. Clearly, I will not. But it has helped pass the time while waiting for my first ultrasound Friday. No need to be condescending.

Huh, I never knew that. I have been thinking of taking another one of my tests, just for some peace of mind. I'm almost 6 weeks, and I never would've guessed that at a certain point they would get lighter. Had I taken a test and gotten a faint line I would've freaked out, honestly.

By all means take them all, your body your choice, after appromiately 10 weeks hpts will not get darker and perhaps look lighter because the hormones are too high for test... It will test positive up until your 40th week. There is just know sense in stressing yourself out if your lookin' for a dark line, and who needs that. But I'm condensing for pointing that out
