hello every one. I have introed before but took a break while going though foster parenting classes. my husband and I were Ttc for 3yrs and found out I have a autoimmune disorder causing infertility. in October we decided to become foster parents with the intent to adopt. we were licensed in Illinois on Friday and our age range is 0-12mo gender girl for now. thanks for any input.

This board doesn't have much activity anymore but we just got licensed a little over a few weeks ago and our intent was to foster to adopt. We have been trying for 3 years as well and I have lupus and my husband has male infertility. we got a call Thursday afternoon at 3:45 pm to take a sweet little 6 month old boy and the possibility to adopt is hopeful but not 100%. He was here by 5:15 pm on Thursday and it has been wonderful. our case worker was very realistic with us that it could be quite some time before we actually got a placement because we were looking for I'm a baby under 12 months but we got extremely lucky and I hope that you have the same luck. definitely keep posting and keep me updated even if I'm the only one on the board!
