Thyroid Problems?

I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation! I went to my first OB appointment for my second baby at 8 weeks. They checked my thyroid levels, as a standard lab they run. After checking my online portal I noticed they had added "Abnormal Thyroid Hormone". I never got a call from my doctor and after I emailed my nurse, she said my labs had come back suppressed at a level of 0.009 and she said the doctor would check it again in 4 weeks. I assumed that was standard but after looking online (always a bad idea) I am concerned this can cause harm to the baby. Is this something I should be more concerned about, demand more labs to be done sooner? I'm not sure what to do. I'm just worried this is something that can hurt the baby as thyroid hormones are responsible for fetal and neonatal brain development and functions. Does anyone have any advise? Anyone else been through a similar situation?
