I just eat regular prunes and they taste perfectly fine. Prune juice is fine too if you would rather go that route... I just prefer to eat them rather than drink them. Either way they are not bad tasting.
I bought some with good intentions of drinking it for constipation relief, but for whatever reason it just skeeves me out too much. I ended up calling my OB and they told me I could do Miralax and then stool softeners at night. I did one round of the Miralax and then took 2 of the CVS brand stool softeners at night with my prenatal. I also did hot water with lemon juice - the next day I was able to go and then I continued to take 2 stool softeners each night until I was back to regular. Now I don't need them at all Good luck!
I have to admit I have not opened the bottle that I purchased two weeks ago, I just have not needed it, I eat lots of fruit and yogurt and it seems to do the trick. Also we have always snacked on prunes because we like them.

I love prunes but I hate the juice. It's just funky to me. Try the dried fruit first. Pear juice and real Apple juice (not from concentrate) can also make you go, go, go.
I unfortunately suffer from constipation. Worse now than I ever had in my life. At 16 weeks i couldnt take it anymore. My OB suggested to get things moving take milk of magnesia for 2 days..it's gross but it definitely started the process...and I eat a unsweetened prunes daily they are actually very tasty! I'm now 18 weeks 5 days and things are much better. I feel your pain sister!
It can be hard to get used to, but it WORKS! I force myself to drink a glass at night every night and no more struggle with non-natural miralax. One glass beats nausea and bloating associated with constipation. Worth it!! Miralax is still safe though if you really need relief. But takes a couple days to work for most people. For the most part prune juice works overnight for me.
