Try propping yourself up when you go to sleep if it is keeping you up at night. Otherwise the best advice I can give you is to try to take note of what foods are triggering it more and as always, drink plenty of water. Also, feel free to stop in some of the daily symptoms threads, a lot of other bumpies have experienced or are currently experiencing this symptom as well and there is some great advice for coping with it on a few of our threads.
I've had heartburn like crazy this pregnancy! Try propping your head up with an extra pillow, drinking milk, or taking a Rolaid. Also, look and see if there's something you're eating that's causing it. For example, my last pregnancy I ate chocolate like crazy. This time it gives me heartburn that feels like it lasts forever. The same thing happens with broccoli.
I try not to lay down for a while after eating. But my heartburn hits whether I lay down or not.
If you don't have Tums or want something more "natural" this might sound silly but pickle juice, Apple cider vinegar help tamp down the burn. Also if you mix baking soda with some warm water that will help (since that's what tums basically are)
I know you can avoid spicy foods and I somewhat try but damn I love me some pad Thai!! And I get heartburn almost no matter what I eat so avoiding food doesn't always work for me.
I like the minty Tums freshers too! For whatever reason I had tried Zantac and Prevacid without much luck but Prilosec has worked wonders. I still get that overly full feeling into my throat, but it doesn't burn.
Peppermint tea helps, as well as sleeping at a slight incline, and then Zantac or generic Zantac. I had it for the last trimester my first DD and I have non stop for this one too. I take the medicine as a last resort, but I find it works a lot better and longer than tums. always talk to your doctor before taking OTC medicine that you are unfamiliar with.
I don't have heartburn myself ( yet) but my bestie is also pregnant and due the same day as me, she has been taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar after meals and swears it's the only thing that works for her, better than tums and Zantac.
Change your prenatal or skip it for day and see if anything changes. Especially if its a DHA fish oil one. Last pregnancy I had all kinds of heartburn and nausea. Same this time until I realized I felt great whenever I forgot the prenatal, Switched to a regular multivitamin/DHA gummy and I've felt so much better. I did have to add in an iron supplement this week, as that was the one missing nutrient and it finally caught up to me.

2nd round exp 8/20/18.
I have a pre existing condition before pregnancy that bothers my esophagus. My Dr approved that I could continue taking Prevacid.
Tums, pepcid, zantac, and prilosic were all cleared by my doctor. I am now on a prescription because my reflux tuerned into GERD. Sexy.
Try to learn your trigger foods (tomatos, coffee, chocolate) and avoid them. It helps a ton!
