Well I just found out I'm off this week. It's nice to have time off but unfortunately because I babysit I only get paid when I work. So no money for me this week. Good thing I made two cakes this past weekend so at least I have grocery money. I plan on doing all the things I usually put off doing. Like cleaning and laundry. Lol I hate cleaning.
I hope everyone has a better week than last week.
On a happy note the weather here is finally warming up so hopefully the 2+ feet of snow still on the ground will finally melt.
This week I have my beta on Thursday (though I feel like AF is going to be here any minute), and Saturday we're throwing our annual Cinco de Patrick party. It's this silly holiday I made up years ago - on St. Patrick's Day, we have a party with Mexican food, then on Cinco de Mayo we go to an Irish bar. It dodges the crowds, plus our friends get really into it and wear stuff like sombreros covered in shamrocks.
Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.
Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces.
UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....
@hooligans4 LOVE your cakes! I do cakes to as a side job!
All work for me this week.. Have a retirement party on Thursday at work which I have to make cupcakes for so that will be my Wednesday night. We made the decision to start IVF this month so I have that appointment on Wednesday also. Other than that, it's a normal week, work, laundry, cooking dinner... the normal..
@hooligans4 yes I had a gender reveal this weekend.. It was so fun to make! I will PM you some pictures.. not sure I have any on my work computer but I'll look!
I have a pretty normal week too, but pretty busy. I have a field trip to Alcatraz Island Wed and a school-wide assessment to give. Plus a bunch of meetings and also tutoring. Will be full. Spent all of Sunday grading, so that sucked. Plus temp dropped this morning, so I'm assuming i'm out and it's time to call for the HSG. Will do that at lunch today. Also in the process of trying to figure out summer plans and possible other jobs for next year, so a lot going on in my mind as well.
Nice cakes. Those are fun. Oh man, I finished a sweatshirt this weekend, but I didn't take any pics yet, so I can't share. Maybe later this week.
Happy Monday all.

@austrogermokee - switching the holidays like that is a great idea!
@Dwmmwd - you're still above your coverline. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
I have a pretty normal week at work, but home is a different story. I didn't get as much done this weekend as I wanted to and we get the keys to our new house on Sunday. Thankfully we're taking our time moving in so it's not like we have to be in the new house right away. I'll be packing at nights this week.
I'm working part of the week and flying to LA Wednesday afternoon for IF stuff. I have a whole post to write about that, going to need some support.
I have my (second) HSG and some bloodwork saturday then fly back home sunday. I'll be paying for another full IVF cycle while I'm out there too. Combine that with my insane mother insisting she be out in LA (staying with my sister who lives there) for this test and trying to get work done to leave, I'm feeling uneasy and anxious. I'm anxious to hear the test results as that dictates our next IVF cycle.
On the upside I get a few days off work this week and it's much warmer here today!
Nothing exciting this week here. Getting things done on our rental home. That's fun. I did workout with a trainer yesterday so I'm having a hard time moving. Lol.
I'm just trying to get through this week without obsessing over the fact that it's week two of my TWW. Tomorrow I should be exactly one week away from af. I know I'll be questioning every. little. thing.
Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.
Nothing too exciting here either. Shooting myself full of Gonal-F every night, working Monday-Thursday, ultrasound Friday. I'm guessing my IUI will be Sunday or Monday depending on follie growth. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my increased dose will give me 3-4 follies, but not 6!! My doc let me increase to 200IU but noted in my chart "an increased risk of cycle cancellation due to overstimulation." Yikes.
@hooligans4 - amazing cakes! I look forward to your photos of them!
@dwmmdwd - sorry about the temp drop. a bummer way to start the day, at least it was for me. maybe its wrong this time
@beingr - good luck with your appointment this week and safe travels. You make my 6 hr drive to our clinic seem like nothing So worth it though to go to a doctor and center you have confidence in.
@austrogermokee - love the holiday switching and combining! and good-luck with your beta
Typical work week for me. Love my job so no complaints, but i sure could always use a longer weekend! - and i miss that hour we lost!
