Pregnant after IF

Slightly embarrassing question about underwear

So...everything seems too tight, and it is adding to my nausea. I'm just under 9 weeks, so it seems early to need the maternity section already, but I was already a large in underwear & now the extra large is just not cutting it. I wish I could just go without, but I have to wear pads cuz of the meds. Does anyone have underwear recommendations? I'm new to the whole maternity section & I don't know the brands at all. Thank you!!!

  • I really like the motherhood maternity hipsters are also very comfortable. I haven't tried the bikini style. I kept my maternity hipsters after pregnancy for period panties and just extras because they still fit. They don't have elastic in the waist, just an extra section of the regular fabric. They're stretchy and soft. But I'm about to get some fold over panties because I want the extra coverage option. My booty has decided to grow with pregnancy LOL.

  • This isour second baby. I have never tried maternity underwear. Instead, I just purchased up one size in boy brief style, usually from So.ma (the vanis.hing edge line). Very comfy during and after pregnancy. Plus, no lines!

My big issue against no-line panties is that they tend to be synthetic materials. Especially during pregnancy, this can predispose you to Candidiasis (yeast infection), bacterial vaginosis (BV), and stinky smells. Cotton is your best bet because it is breathable and better for your nether regions.

  • @cshm11, I hear you as I am particulalry susceptible to UTIs even when not pregnant. I only wear 100%cotton.

  • I'll second the MM fold over panties. I'm hippy and they do not ride. Also the soft wide, fold over waist truly prevents any belly discomfort when the tummy pops. (My biggest pain w sizing up in my regular panties was the itchy belly or droopy butt)

My heart is as open as the sky.

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
