My son was born with Down Syndrome and is now 6 months old. He still
doesn't eat like he is supposed to (he has a G-Tube) but he sleeps great
through the night. I want to be able to get him to eat what he is
supposed to during the day and just let him sleep at night. He is
currently eating about 130mls every 4 hours, he is gaining weight like
he is supposed to after his heart surgery so I know that is enough for
him. He loves purred food though. I was wondering how can I finaggle it
to where he can have formula and purred food during the day so we can
all sleep at night. How much purred food would he have to eat to meet
his requirements? I know he is still a bit young to just give him some
formula and more food but it doesn't mess with his belly and we give him
vitamins. I don't want him to be so dependent on his G-tube and I think
regular food would entice him to eat a bit more but he doesn't want to
eat when his belly is so full from the formula.
