Only saw gestational sac on 8 week ultrasound.

I went in for my first ultrasound today and there was just the sac. Doctor sent me to get blood work saying that I might not be 8 weeks. Just curious has anyone had this happen and how did it turn out? Positive? Or a miscarriage? This is my first pregnancy and I just want to know what to expect.

I'm so sorry I had a the same thing happen at my 8 week ultrasound last year and the dr said it was a blighted ovum. We only saw a sac and after getting some blood tests, we found out my hcg levels were decreasing. I miscarried a few days later I hope that you don't have to go through what I went through! Sending positive thoughts your way!

Similar thing happened to me- I'm at 7 weeks and they only saw the sac. Doctor was extremely optimistic, said it is perfectly normal. He thinks I'm just not as far as I thought. They did a few urine samples, and a pap and everything came back great. I go back at 8 weeks. Doctor said I have absolutely nothing to worry about, and not to stress. Keep praying! I'm sure everything is ok! Some people just see more early on. But it's completely normal not to.
