Sleepless

My daughter is 7mths old and it takes 3hrs to get her down to bed at night, anyone else having this issue or any suggestions?

Re: Sleepless

  • I was having this issue and found that if we do his veggie and rice a bath (with lavender) and then a bottle while rocking it helped. He was just hungry so he was sleeping terribly. Hope it gets better for you.

Do you have a routine established?

How are her naps? If you tell us a little bit more, hopefully we'll be able to help you come up with some new ideas.
  • Yes we have a night time routine...dinner at 7 wait 30mins till bath or wash up time, rub down with night time baby lotion, dim lights turn on white noise humidifier and story time which she's already out by the second page. I find it's the putting her down that wakes her up but it seems to of been much better this week. I guess maybe she just had to get use to her new home/room, she's been sleeping with one wake up during the night and wakes between 6-7am
  • It sounds like part of your routine is your little one sleeping in your arms.  Try your routine where you put her down in her crib while awake.  She needs to learn to self sooth instead of needing you to do it for her.
