Today I decided to take a peak outside my birth month forum. Therefore, I ought to introduce myself. My DH and I have been trying for a baby for three years. For almost half of that they were treating me with all kinds of
fertility drugs (Clomid, progesterone, ect) but nothing worked. Then
they tested my DH and we discovered just why none of the fertility drugs
were working. The issue wasn't on my end. After that we had two failed
IUIs. Pooling the money we'd saved up from our wedding and the vacations
we were hoping to take (~$18,000) we decided to go through IVF. My
first round of IVF in late November was very successful. They retrieved
and fertilized (via ICIS) 27 embryos. Of those, 11 grew into Grade A, 5-day
blastocytes. With a little luck I will never have to go through that
again. It was a great success but left me with mild OHSS and forced me
to put off the embryo transfer until early January of this year. As luck
would have it, the first transfer was successful. I am now10 weeks and 5
days pregnant! At the start of week 8 we got to see our baby (siggy) and gradated from IF. At the moment, I'm waiting until March 16th for my first OB appointment at the 12 week mark.

IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN

About to switch to injectables w/femara, did one last cycle with just femara & an IUI with ovidrel- stupid motility was fantastic in the sample, but count was 700,000 AFTER wash! Had to sign a paper to even still do IUI- BFFP (big fat freaking positive) Go figure!
1st Beta 13dpiui 54, 2nd beta 48 hours later 115, 3rd beta 48 hours later 310, 4th beta 72 hours later 1748.

Beta #2 2/8/13 - 586! , Beta #3 2/10/13 = 1898. First u/s perfect little heart beat at 116 bpm. Measure 6 weeks 1 day. EDD 10/14/13
3/4/13 measuring right on track beautiful heartbeat 171 bpm, graduated from RE to OB... bittersweet.
