  • Boy: Bruce (all boys in my husbands family start with B)
Girl: Stella! (My mom HATES that name lol)
  • Girl will be Jocelyn Grace, but we don't announce names incase we look at the little one and decide it doesn't fit when we meet them :)

Boy: Nino Charles or Luca Charles
(Charles is a name that runs in my family – dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, etc)

Girl: Vivia Madeline or Luisa Madeline
(that middle name has not been vetted with the BF yet, lol, but he knows I want an M name to honor both of my grandmothers, Margaret and Martha.)
  • Of course, nothing is decided since I'm only 9 weeks, but...here are some that I like:

    My 5 year-old son - Kellen

Boy:  I love Asher, but my husband does not.  Last night, we discussed potentially Ian Thomas.  Ian is Celtic for "John" which is my dad's name and Thomas is my father-in-law.

Girl - I like Grace, but it's pretty popular.  I also like:  Arden, Kyla, Camden (though it's a bit too close to my son's name).

It will be tough to pick a girl's name that I like, isn't too popular and isn't too off the beaten path.
    Me: 39

The name meanings are "blooming life" Although some family have been freely opening their mouths saying they don't like that and would call her Floor or Flow. [-X It's a human being people, your own grandkid! =D> Sorry, rant over.

Boy: nothing picked yet but I like Caspian, Everette, Jackson. Hubby is sold on Atticus but I'm not sure about that one.

    Good luck!! Congrats :-)
  • I had a dream that I had a little boy and his name was Despin, but online it's not a real name or word. So it feels really special and I think I will stick with it.

  • Boy: Henry Leo (french pronunciation 'Lay-O')

    Girl: Bobbi or Betty Iftimia

I love the name Henry and it was the name of my mother's brother who died in his 20's. Leo is the name of my husband's great uncle who never had children, but considered my husband and his brothers to be his grandkids.

Iftimia is my Grandmother's Ukrainian name. She immigrated to Canada with her mother right after WW1, at the age of 11. Her name was anglicised to 'Edna' by the Canadian government. My grandmother lived through the Dirty 30s on the Canadian prairies and WW2, raising 8 children. She passed 3 weeks shy of her 101st birthday. I have forever wanted to honour her original, beautiful name and legacy.

    Girl- Arianna Alexis.

Alexis is my middle name and it is a tradition in my husbands family to have the middle name of the parent given.
