These women saying it is trashy.. So if you see a baby with pierced ears you think the baby is trash? I don't know maybe I'm misunderstanding the way people use the word trashy.. But whenever I say someone's actions are trashy ie women walking around with there thong strings sticking out, or lower ass cheeks hanging out thru there shorts, I think of them as trash. Sorry I won't even pretend I don't judge people. I do when I see them dressed like that. So when I read that these women think my babies are trashy cause I got there ears pierced young.. I take offense to it. Maybe ya'll should try wording things differently. Like "I don't agree with it, but to each there own" I believe is what you meant to say.
Side note, I didn't even know doctors pierced ears! Maybe I should try to find a doc that will do it.

Love this! My daughter's earrings do not make her look trashy. We come from an educated, classy, well mannered family whose culture and traditions encourage us to pierce our daughter's ears. We also come from a family who does not pass judgment on others or refer to infant girls as trashy either. I'm gonna let that one slide and blame it on a lack of a more extensive vocabulary. (Solely based on your use of "there".) I'd tread carefully when referring to a mother's daughter as trashy...
Lol @Ckorines!! You and I are on the same page on so many topics! I noticed the grammar as well. "Trashy" is a rather strong word...but guess the old adage is true, takes one to know one?! I can't imagine our trash-talking friend will stick around long if she goes around calling people's children trash. From the looks of the ladies around here, an opinion is valued...TRASH talking isn't.
My mom did mine as a baby and I am glad she did because I probably would have chickened out since I am afraid of needles. It didn't bother me that she did them. Our family doctor had done mine. We did our daughter's ears when she was 5 months and I am glad we did, because my friend had taken her 6 year old and she ended up having multiple infections because she did not stop playing with them and in the end, ended up taking them out. My daughter didn't even realize they were there and if she doesn't want them when she is older than she can take them out.
Oops *their. Lol lazy habits. And yea a bit out of line. I saw another person say it was trashy and someone else called her out. So I didn't feel the need to since it was multiple comments back. It's completely ignorant. If someone thinks I'm trashy or a bad mother because of my decisions on how to raise my child, then have at it. But don't call my baby trash or anyone else's baby trash because you don't particularly approve. Are bikinis on babies trashy too? (I personally think there freaking adorable! But that's my opinion) their are some moms who don't agree with doing it for one reason or another and their opinion was invited. But the mommy wars... Really? No one has the "perfect way to parent a child" book (oh unless someone wrote a parenting book labeled that.. But you know what I mean)
For the record, I was referring to @BrookieBubs with the "their" comment. If she is gonna throw jabs at moms and call our babies trash, then she better bring her "A" game.
Oh I must have missed something. Lol thought ya'll was commenting on her misuse of there when she said "let them get there ears pierced when there older" so I saw I did the same thing lol and had to correct it.
Ugh no offense to anyone who chooses to put holes in their perfect babies, but I just will never be okay with that. My husband and I are covered in tattoos and I have a few piercings including stretched ears, but we chose to do these things to our bodies and we feel our daughters should have those choices too.
