Husband traveling for work

I've seen a few posts about husbands or partners traveling for pleasure and a lot of people said 36 weeks should be the cutoff. However, my husband travels every week Monday through Thursday for work. We live in PA and right now he is on a project in Boston although his project assignment can change at any time. I would love for him to stay home from 36 weeks on and work from home but I would also love for him to be able to work from home for at least 2-3 weeks after his week of paternity leave once the baby is born. I know 8 weeks away from the project is unrealistic even if he is putting in his hours from home or using PTO. Anyone else with a spouse that travels a lot for work and if so what is your plan?
