Liquid Diet while Pregnant? Anyone?

Has anyone been put on a liquid diet for their pregnancy due to UC, HG, severe GERD, or other reasons? I'm 18 weeks and cannot eat solid food; my esophagus constricts. It is assumed that it is a severe complication from GERD. I'm very nervous that my baby won't get the nutrition she needs (not to mention me) on a liquid diet, but there aren't many options at this point. I see my GI again this week to formulate a plan.

    One of my friend  went to the ER for extreme naseau  as she wasn't even able to keep water down. The doc said the most important thing is to keep hydrated. So I think a liquid diet is probably fine. So grab some V8!

    Its better to consult with your doctor regarding this.
