Insomnia...grrrrr

anyone else dealing with insomnia? It's rough, man! I crave a good nights sleep, but the longest I've stayed out after finally falling asleep is 2 maybe 3 hours! Guess it's a blessing in disguise though! No sleep now = practice for no sleep when dd is here!

My doctors advice worked wonders after months of not sleeping for more then a few hours. Dont get into bed until you are actually ready to sleep. When.he.said that I thought it was silly bc Im always ready to sleep. But i discovered getting into bed an hour later then usual and sitting and reading, no screens, for a half hour before, helped me sleep like a baby.
  • Your body is preparing you for motherhood.

I love when people tell me to bank all the sleep I can now. Uhm...where is this magical bank to cash in?

I take Benadryl. It helps sometimes. But between frequent pee breaks, a toddler who also wants to go potty at night, restless legs and just overall feeling of my pelvis being ripped in half...sleep sucks.
  • There are nights whenI sleep pretty decently and other times I don't get more than an hour or two. Never more than an hour at once, though. I don't like taking medicine so I've been trying some relaxation techniques. Works here and there but it's currently 2am and I've been awake for two hours haha
  • As @nursemom83 nicely put it, my pelvis being ripped in half keeps me up.

The aches of pregnancy :) can't wait for them to be gone!
  • Me too! However the scare of a possible c section has me up all night too :(
  • I have so much going on in my life I have definitely lost sleep! I'm waking up every 2-3 hours and then peeing and unable to go back to bed for an hour! Ive just come to the realization that my sleep filled nights are over, it was only a matter of time
