Unclear tests?

Hi, my husband and I have been TTC since sept last year. I'm just over a week late for my period. I did a test this morning which looked negative but had a faint (blink and you'd miss it) positive line. I'm not sure what this means and wondered how long I should wait to retest? Any advice would be welcome as this is my 1st try. Thanks in advance x

    I would wait 2-3 days and retest because HCG doubles every 48 hours or so.

    Can I ask, how do you know you're a week late? are yo

    A line is a line no matter how faint.
    My TTC History:
    2009: missed miscarriage #1 at 9 weeks (trisomy 16)
    2010: Infertility
    2011: Diagnosis and treatment (low sperm count, anastrozole for DH, clomid for me + IUI)
    2012: Baby #1
    2014: Baby #2
    October 2015: missed miscarriage #2 at 11 weeks (trisomy 22)
    March 2016 BFP#5, due November 2016.

    Usually I have a 28 day cycle give or take a day. Also I have been tracking everything temp,CF... Everything... So you think try again mon/tues ish? Thanks guys... Fingers crossed x

    As long as it was a pink dye test, I would say you are pregnant,
    Coffee Bean Born 6/13/15.
    2nd round exp 8/20/18.

    If it was a pink dye test read within the time frame directed on the instructions, then congrats. Otherwise, test again in a day or two with FMU.

    I never trust a blue dye test for this reason. Go buy a pink dye one. It takes the question out of the equation.

    Walmart, any pharmacy, dollar store, kmart, target.
    just turn the box over. See if it it a plus line (blue line) or two pink line test
