Soy isoflavones

What have you guys heard about them? A friend mentioned it in passing and was saying it's like natures clomid. Anybody have any info?? TIA.

1) clomid should be monitored to prevent hyperstimulation, which is dangerous. So I assume any 'natural' clomid is the same.

2) do you have issues with ovulation?

@PugsandKisses I am having fertility testing done next cycle and will know more then. I suspect I do based on a few factors. Depending on what I could find out about the soy and the results of my testing, I was considering trying it before trying clomid.

Are you charting? That will tell you if you are ovulating or not.

Yes and my temps are all over the place. Part of that is because I'm up and down with my two year old and can't temp at the same time/under the same conditions everyday.

How long have you been charting. Can I see it?

I use ovia and haven't figured out yet how to see all the temps at once!! They only show the last few days and then you have to like scroll over to see the days before. Do you use ovia or FF or glow?

I also had two peak readings on my clearblue advanced opk this cycle...with a few negative days in between.....and never at any point eggwhite cm....so I think my body is trying and trying to ovulate but maybe isn't.

The first one temping everyday, yes.

This is what WebMD has to say about soy isoflavones. I wouldn't use them, and I have confirmed annovulation. However, I'm not a doctor... Please don't take this as medical advice. But, my opinion... The possible side affects would outweigh any possible chance of benefits. If you're really interested, I'd talk to your Dr.

did you have any problems with your first?
also, are you on any antihistamines? Or drink any green teas? Are you 30 or over?
(There are reasons I ask these questions )

I'm 30. Ttc about a year. No problems conceiving my first. I drink "healthy cycle" tea that I believe is raspberry leaf. No antihistamines.

I seriously agree with jellyfish. clomid makes me nervous as is, and it has been tested so much.
also, the older we get, the less CM we tend to produce.
I have PCOS, and tend to get several 'surges' in a cycle With OPKs. They drove me bonkers.
