Anchor incision And successful VBAC??

SOOO... Update.
My incision is an anchor (my new doc finally got the medical records) which means it's the ideal low transverse with an anchor tail going up. This apparently increases my risk of uterine rupture. He didn't say we wouldn't try - he's still willing to go for it, but the fact I'm not getting green lights and this increases my risk scares me! Any advice? Has anyone vbaced successfully with the same type of incision? My doctor is still leaving the choice entirely up to me and he's willing to go for it, but he also doesn't sugarcoat anything...
