Sibling Set...

I am starting to think about this early this time around... mostly because I am feeling a little stumped.

We like names that are unique (but not "fake") and that have a significant meaning.

Our DD is named Salem (I know it is extremely unusual, but it is a family name and part of our cultural heritage.  Also- I love the meaning!).

We are playing with names to go with it-- but so far we are really struggling.

For Girls I have:

Maren (But I don't have any emotional attachment to the meaning...)

For Boys:

Micah

Jude

(my worry about both of these are their popularity)

Let me know your thoughts!

And I really like Ezra... not sure if DH will....

Maren is nice. I really like Maeve right now. Maureen or Mara are similar.

Judah or Jonah. I like Michael more than Micah.

@4N6s - I like Maeve as well.  Not really interested in Michael though (not because there is anything wrong with it- just don't want something so classic/traditional).

I love all three of your choices, and PP had some great suggestions. Mara and Vada are two of my favorite names.

Other ideas:

Moira, Maude, Vera, Lena, Lana, Nina, Ada, Viola, Celia

Eli, Jasper, Julian, Levi

Not a huge fan of Micah. Love Maren and Jude! Love the Ezra and Vada suggestions. Totally makes me think of the movie My Girl.

@g8trkim --- it is so funny--- about an hour ago I blurt out "That's where I've heard it!"  thinking about the name Vada and My Girl.  I was with my mom who just gave me a weird look

Jude is my favorite! I also like Maren, but I feel like the end sound is too similar to Salem. 

Maura or Moira are both nice alternates. I also suggest Anna, Catriona, Cora, and Elise.

Thank you @brita722 ! Didn't really consider that Maren and Salem sounded alike... Definitely something to consider!

Anna and Elise are a little too popular for me (I know multiple of both) --- but some other pretty suggestions...

I first heard Vada on My Girl too.. Loved it ever since.
