Postpartum bedwetting

This is pretty embarrassing. I am 7 nights out from delivering and I've been peeing in my sleep. I don't wake up feeling like I have to pee I just wake up wet! I didn't even have incontinence issues or "snissing" when I was actually pregnant so this is all new. Has anyone experienced this? Will this stop happening on it's own?

I haven't wet the bed but the other day I made it to the bathroom and then started peeing with my pants still on. I didn't even realize it was happening - I actually thought I was heavily, heavily bleeding at first. Just want you to know you're not alone! That being said, if it's consistent I'd probably mention it to my doctor.

I haven't had the bed wetting either but when I stand up when my bladder is full, things start leaking pretty bad before I make it to the bathroom.

Did you have an epidural ? I did and after birth I lost the feeling of having to pee. Had to have the catheter put back in for another day. Thank goodness they did. As soon as they did, I filled the bag right away. I'd call L&D and pick their brains on your situation. Good Luck!

Lurking from June 2015 and I used to work as a post-partum nurse. Incontinence when sleeping may be indicative of overly-relaxed pelvic muscles or possibly an infection. I would definitely call my OB/MW and let him/her know ASAP.
