July 2015 Mommies...when did you conceive

Hi ladies !

My original due date was Aug 9th, however, after my first ultrasound it was moved up to July 30th b/c the baby measured bigger than he should be. With a due date of July 30th it puts me with a LMP of Oct 23, 2014 which I know for a fact I did not have my period that day. My last period was Nov 2, 2014. (My periods usually last around 3/4 days 5 max)

I know it's difficult to pinpoint an exact conception date, but did I get pregnant from sex in October or November ?

I only had sex once in October (17th, the day of peak ovulation) and tested on Halloween and got a positive. My last peroid was October 1st. I told my dr I knew the exact day of conception and she gave me a pissy attitude and said just because I had sex that day doesn't mean the baby was conceived that day. Sperm can last a few days in your body, do even if you could pin point the day you had sex, it may have not been until a few days later that you actually conceived the baby.
But who knows?
It's hard to guess exactly, so I'm sorry if I couldn't help.

LMP has nothing to do with ovulation. You can ovulate early or late. I ovulated on day 23 and based on gestational age we conceived that day as well. You will only know when you ovulated if you are tracking BBT. Assuming the gestation age of your ultrasound is correct, I would count backwards from there, minus two weeks since you're not actually pregnant during that time, and that is your approximate conception date.

If you think you actually conceived the end of October then your early November bleeding could not have been a period. Had that bleeding been a period you would not be pregnant because the unfertilized egg would have already begun to be broken down.

As long as your baby is developing fine, I wouldn't worry about it

On October 19 me and hubby had a few drinks and that's the night it happened. I am 100% positive about this bc I hadn't seen him in 2 weeks before that and he left the morning after. My due date is July 30th and it calculates to the like Tuesday after that date.

In your case though, it's hard to tell. Your "period" could have not been a period. It's one of the early symptoms to bleed or spot. Or it could've been a period and it happened after. You never know, and it really doesn't matter that much.

Going on my dates my lmp was 24th September.. My lmp was the 18th as my birthday was on 20th and I had to wait until I could celebrate properly with my partner as I was on my period, I must of conceived when having "birthday sex" (sorry about putting it so bluntly lol) but I find it quite nice as its turned out to be the best birthday present I could of asked for!! Amazing how things turn out I know it must of been that date as I didn't see him for like 3 weeks after due to lots of things, but still like I said best birthday present ever!

My due date is July 30th and I ovulated on Nov 6. You conceived in November with either of your due dates.

my lmp was october 18th, but i have long cycles (34-40 days). i was testing for ovulation because we had been trying for a long time, and got the positive for that on halloween. based on babies size at my dating scan, it looks like i conceived a few days after that (Nov. 2).

@tiffanywest07 if you had a full on period in november, you could not have conceived from sex in october (as pp said, the egg, whether it was fertilized or not, would have shed out with the rest of your uterine lining). sometimes you can have implantation bleeding that is similar to your period, but based on your dates i would say you conceived in november.

@jesicabrennan‌ could I still have gotten pregnant let's say around oct 25th but conceived in nov if it was implantation bleeding (which I'm sure wasn't). Or would both due dates mean sex from nov got me pregnant ?

Pretty sure we conceived on October 19th while our daughter was visiting her grandpa. Yay for date nights, haha

According to my LMP it was October 19-23. At my first appt he measure my uterus and it was on point. I was 9 weeks when he checked. So my conception was between Nov. 1 and Nov. 4, 2014. My due date is July 26th.

Originally due aug 4th but got moved to July 30. Mine was either the 8th or 9th

My LMP was 10/13 so I think I conceived around Nov 1. Due date is 7/21. Since your due date is after mine, you probably conceived in Nov.

My last period was oct 2 but I have a long cycle (34 days). I guessed I would be ovulating around oct 16-20 (which happened to overlap with a vacation my hubby and I took to the west coast) and at my 8 wk u/s the ob said I must have ovulated on/right around oct 20- due on July 13! So it looks like we made this baby in California or oregon

If your due date is July 30 you got pregnant Nov 6 or thereabouts if your original due date is correct you got pregnant roughly 10-11 days after that so around Nov 16 or 17(these are ovulation dates, sex dates can be + or - 3 days). With your last period being Nov 2 in guessing your original due date was more correct but Drs decided to change it based on baby's growth. Either way you definitely got pregnant in Nov!

I conceived October 23. I actually just started taking Primrose Oil the month before . I wasn't taking it to get pregnant but in hopes that it would help me with my vaginal dryness. Well yesss it did help. And I also believe it encouraged my pregnancy. I also had a friend who started taking it and she conceived too.

Lmp was oct 2 did it once morning of ovulation on oct 16( I'm very in tune with my ovulation so I know this is when I ovulated) due July 9 with little girl!!

unless your cycle is super long (like, 40+ days), i would say that you had to have conceived in november. your due date is 10 days after mine and i know that i had to have conceived in november because of the ovulation testing, and i have pretty long cycles to begin with (34 days).

Lucky ducks !! If it was up to me id have sex Atleast every other day. Unfortunately my husband likes to take weeks to 2 wk breaks from sex so i know exactly when I conceived.

Date of conception for me was Oct 22nd, and i know this because i tracked everything like crazy. I was a freak about it. Got my first positive test on November 1st
