HCG after miscarriage

It is almost 7 weeks since my D&E and still no period and still getting positive pregnancy tests :( I went to the doctor any my HCG is 3000. They're testing again tonight. Based on this number, do you have any idea when I could be down to 0. It seems to be taking forever.

    I think it returns to zero once you're period starts? My period occurred exactly a month from my natural miscarriage.

    Have you had an ultrasound to ensure all tissue has been removed, etc?

    You don't need an ultrasound. You need repeat BHCG.........

    The length of time is different for every woman. Some women return to normal relatively quickly, others take 6-8 weeks. After my first loss I waited close to 8 weeks for my period to return. I just went through my second loss and right now I am still waiting for AF. If you don't  see AF by 8 weeks you should tell your doctor.
