Making it to the third trimester can be a huge milestone for someone who has struggled with infertility or issues while pregnant in the past. Call me a cheater, but I'm calling it at 26 weeks
I was told by Dr. that 1-13 weeks= 1st trimester 13-26 weeks = 2nd trimester, and 3rd trimester 26-38 weeks you will then be considered full term after making it to 38 weeks. LOL the last 2 weeks are bonus!

well said it is a big milestone for a lot of people..others are just curious about where we are in our pregnancies. nothing wrong with that

wow, I am surprised I received negative comments on this! yes, i am just curious for my own knowledge, as it is a milestone in my pregnancy... thanks for those that answered!
Try to think about when you might of conceived and count the months from there. For instance, I'm due July 5th. Therefore for me, conception might of been October 5th. I count from there: November-January was my first trimester, February-April, my second and April-July my last.
All the website I searched for it said that it start at 28 weeks. Other said 27 weeks so it depends, it doesn't matter either way.
You can go to thebump.com/t/third-trimester for more info, and to know when you conceived you can go to whenmybaby.com/conception-calendar.phpter or you can count the weeks from the last day of your period.
All these apps and sites that say 28 weeks, I just don't understand. If pregnancy is 40 weeks and you divide that by 3, each trimester is 13.33 weeks. If you multiple that by 2 it's 26.67 weeks. That's less than 27 right?? I'm 27 weeks today and I consider myself in the 3rd trimester. I'm too impatient to wait any longer for the milestone! lol And I agree wholeheartedly that it matters when you're so anxious to meet your little one!! Every milestone is such a huge accomplishment. Just wait until your baby smiles, rolls over, or sits up...it's like they won the Olympics!! I can't understand why it wouldn't matter
One of my apps congratulated me for reaching the third trimester at 26 weeks 6 days. I'm going with it haha. It makes me feel closer to "done" I love being pregnant, but this one has been a little rockier than previous, and I am a little anxious to be done.
And just to clarify, I am not hoping by any means that baby comes soon (I'm 27w4d today). I am just hoping time moves quickly to get me to 38 weeks and what I like to call the "safe zone" lol.
Re: When do you consider the start of the 3rd trimester?
