Morning sickness eases off at 9 weeks

I started with my morning sickness feeling very sick and tired with good aversions at around 6 weeks now I'm nearly 10 weeks and it's eased off already. I know the peak of morning sickness is around 8 weeks which is when I spent most of the time in bed sleeping it off lol the baby is fine and midwife says this can happen and does usually happen at 9 weeks and sometimes it doesn't come back. Anyone else had this?

Re: Morning sickness eases off at 9 weeks

  • Nope, I'm 12 weeks and I still get it. Not as often, but it's just now staring to lessen.

  • It can. With my second it was done at 8 weeks and this time it tapered off this week for me as well...I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and I feel sooooo much better Thank you Jesus!
  • My morning sickness has been gone since about 9.5 weeks. I'm 11 now

  • I'm 9 weeks this Sunday, and the queasiness have been subsiding since 8 weeks. Still have some aversions (obviously to the healthy stuff haha!) but at least not feeling like I'm going to be sick. Yay!
  • With my first pregnancy the morning sickness got worse at 14 weeks. We'll see what happens this time
  • I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and still as nauseous as ever. Between that and the exhaustion, I just want to cry.
  • I'm 12 weeks today. Mine eased around 9.5/10 weeks. I still get tired in the early evening though. Not anything like before however.
  • My symptoms let up around 9 weeks (right after we saw the heartbeat so I knew everything was ok), but around 10.5 came back with a vengeance! If you are feeling better now, enjoy!
  • You're lucky! I'm 11 weeks and yesterday was the worst day for me. I threw up all day long. I honestly think this is our last kid because I cannot imagine doing this again. I'm really hoping I feel better soon.

How are you dealing with the MS? Min just started at 9 weeks. I can't function, I can't do anything. What meds are safe to take? I've missed so much school and have had to reschedule clients. I can't imagine having to deal with this for weeks and weeks. I'm miserable w fatigue and nausea.
  • I still get very tired early evening and still having food aversions but compared to a couple of weeks ago I feel a lot better lol x
  • Here's hoping! I'm 8 Weeks and can't stand much more. First day back at work today after a week off due to morning sickness. Only been in 45 minutes and suffering so much already. Wah!
  • I spent the last two days in bed with terrible vertigo and the"almost gonna puke" feeling, telling my boss today BC I've missed work due to the MS. I was all clear for about a week, then at 9 weeks it came back stronger than ever.... Here's to hoping the second trimester is what I hear it is,. Paradise
  • I'm 11 weeks and symptoms began to taper off about 2 weeks ago. They're still there, but overall I feel much better!

I have come to learn that asking questions like this did not help me at all. I would get some ladies that had it happen and some ladies that said "when it happened, I found out baby's heart stopped beating". These made me so sick to my stomach!!

Everyone is SO different and even every woman's pregnancies are different (first different from the second, etc).

Personally, my symptoms have just disappeared at 10w, and I am crossing my fingers it means that I am approaching the feel good stage!! LOL!

Don't worry if some ladies tell you that they are still having symptoms. Consider yourself lucky that yours have gone so soon and don't stress!! Baby is MORE than likely perfectly healthy and just giving Mom a little break!! :) No heavy bleeding and no severe cramps? No worries!!!

  • Still miserable here but during my last pregnancy I had an amazing respite during week 11. Thought I was in the clear and totally overdid it- went back to the gym, etc. ms came back with a vengeance weeks 12-13 and those were the worst weeks of all. But then improved for good in 2nd tri.

Not trying to scare y'all! Just proceed cautiously  . Pregnancy symptoms tend to come and go the whole 9 months, whether it's the ms in 1st tri or back pain in the 3rd. Enjoy the good days but don't overdo it so you pay for it the next week!
  • I'm 11w4d and I've been feeling better since Saturday or so. The nausea and aversions are resolving. Feeling better. Also hoping this is a long term change.
  • 10 w today and I threw up.

It's been a few weeks since I have been nauseous or thrown up.
  • This is my husband and mine 9th blessing ..Which all my other lil one M/S went around 14 weeks.. with this lil pumpkin morning sickness disappeared at 8 weeks 2 day..bit it did start earlier as well
  • Mine started at five weeks and had gotten worse the last week. I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. There were several lulls too where it seemed to go away for a few days. Now it's balls to the wall and no zofran or b6/unison combo does not work. ;)
  • I wish! I'm 13 weeks today & morning sickness is still very much a part of my daily ._.
  • I hit 9 weeks and for the first time today, besides some vertigo that hit me a couple of times, finally started to feel like myself again. I haven't had a day in the last 5 wks that I wasn't so exhausted or just too nauseated to even function! ! ! I got more done today then I have since I found out I was prego! ! Here's to a little 9 week Zen! !
