I think I'm in labor I don't know

I'm 39 weeks and 1 day. My husband and I ate spicy food tonight. Well I'm trying to lay in the bed but it's not happening. My.baby is constantly moving. She is really pushing down on my vag. And any way I try to lay it's not comfortable. I have the feeling like I got to go number 2 but I really don't. And my back is starting to hurt.

Call your doctor or go to labor and delivery. They would be the best judge of if you are in labor.

I haven't lost my mucus plug or water hasn't broke and as of tuesday my cervix is only 50 percent thinned

I agree with PP, also, you will know, the pain unbearable. Not just uncomfortable. I labored at home for 18 long, brutal hours before my contractions were regular enough to be admitted.

But again, we wouldn't be able to tell you, so call your dr or go in.

Every pregnancy and labor is different. If you can't tell (and you should know your body best) how would we be able to? Call your doctor or L&D since they are the experts at this.

Some people don't loose those until the end, everyone is different. Again, if you think you might be call the on call dr/nurse or go to labor and delivery.

Some people don't see the mucous plug it just comes little by little as an increase in discharge. When in doubt call doctor or goto l&d

First of all, spicy food for dinner is not going to induce labor. So if you are in labor, it isn't because of what you ate.  Second, if you THINK you might be in labor, call your doctor.  We don't know you, your body or your pregnancy.  Your doctor does.  Also, you pay your doctor a helluva lot of money to answer questions like this.
