DH and I are having a hard time deciding on our boy name. These are our top picks right now. Middle name will be Nicholas. Our last name is two syllables ending in "berg." I would love to know what your first impressions are when you read the name. We're open to opinions/suggestions too. Thanks!

Oh boy, great names!! Love Oliver and Henry, both are becoming popular but if it doesn't bother you than both are great options. Oscar is also great, I'm not a huge fan, it's just not my style. Winston is pretty awesome actually, some might think too stuck up though. Owen is kind of in a different league from the others imo...very common.
  • All great
As PP said Owen is not up there with the others

No periods due to 17 years of ballet and distance running after college.  Zero response to 2 months of Clomid, little response to Letrozole.  IUI left with 9 cysts = too many viable eggs due to age.  On to IVF.  Low dose of all meds still produced 37 mature eggs 12.6.11.  Froze due to overstimulation.

    FET #1.1 1.22.12 BFN.   FET #1.2 2.22.12=GRACE! (and a vanishing twin).

FET #1.3 3.2013 BFN FET#1.4 4.2013 BFN. Never tried a fresh transfer.  Let's try, despite 10 still frozen.
ER 6.26.13 27 mature eggs, slight overstim. ET   7.1.13 ectopic, FET 2.1  9.10.14   TRIPLETS!!

  • I would keep Winston, Oliver and Henry and toss Owen and Oscar. They don't seem in the same group of names and not convinced how they sound with Nicholas.

    Modern twist: Oliver Nicholas ...berg
    Classic: Henry Nicholas ...berg
    Stands out: Winston Nicholas ...berg

My vote goes for Henry followed by Oliver

^^basically my thoughts exactly. I really like Oliver Nicholas :)
  • Winston is the only one I don't like.

Love Oscar! The other three are all pretty popular/common, but I prefer Owen.
  • Thanks for the feedback! We are now stuck between Winston, Oliver and Henry. I can see from the votes that Winston is not as well-liked. What impression does that name give?

I have a good connotation from it because I had a very good friend named Winston.

Honestly? I think of a snooty butler.. But that's totally unfair because I've never known a Winston IRL. I'm sure if I met a baby Winston it'd be cute.
  • I really like Owen Nicholas and Henry Nicholas
