I hate this stupid doppler

in Pregnant after IF
I'm about a day shy of 13 weeks and I still cannot find a HB with this angel sounds Doppler. Earlier in the week, the OB got a HB in 2 secs. Once in awhile I hear a slight swooshing, but never a HB and nothing registers ever on the screen. Just a bunch of static. I hate this dumb thing and I panic every time I try. Wondering if its just a piece of junk or there is no HB?? Any suggestiond ?
Me: 37, DH: 38: ttc 7 years, dx: unknown
10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid & normal hsg),
12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s, 1/12: D&C
6/12 IUI#1-IUI #3: clomid = BFP!, C/P
IVF #1(10/12) FSH 5.4, AFC: 16 long Lupron, 5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast/1-8 cell transferred=BFN
IVF #2(12/12)AFC 21, MD lupron, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast and 2-8cell. BFN.
IVF#3(4/13) Natural start antagon protocol, 12R,11F. one PGS normal at day 6 transfer. BFN.
IVF#4 (11/13) C.CRM (ODW.U normal 8/13 Still no Diagnosis) EPP/antagonist. ER 13R/7M/6F. Only 1 made it to freeze. Abnormal. Looking into options of DE, Fresh vs frozen.
10/14 new local RE to look into what's next. CD3 FSH 4.7, AMH 0.9. Met with DE agencies and exploring options for feb/march 2015.
Surprise natural bfp (4 days before donor is signed). Beta #1 at 9dpo: 51.8, 2nd beta: 195 (25 hours doubling) @11dpo. 3rd beta (12/15): 516 (35 hrs doubling) 4th beta(12/17): 895 (58 hours doubling) 5th beta(12/19): 2120. U/S at 5w0d(12/22): one gestational sac with yolk sac. U/S #2 (6w0d)12/29. One little bean measuring 6w0d with HR 124. 3rd u/s(1/4)7w0d: baby measuring 7w2d. HR 134. 3/30: A/S at MFM went great except for low lying placenta. Verifi results are normal! Team Blue! Please send any positive thoughts our way! EDD:8/24/2015

    There's a heartbeat I promise, I have a Doppler a little better rated than the one you have and it took me a while to find anything, I think it didn't get easier until after week 14-and even then it took me a few minutes sometimes!

    I don't know much about the angel sounds doppler...did you try looking at YouTube videos for tips?  Are you pressing low towards your pubic bone?  I will say that I found the HB kinda easily around 11 weeks, then it got harder around 14-15 weeks.  Not sure why, but then I learned I had an anterior placenta, which makes it harder to hear her.

    I have an inverted uterus so I still can't pick anything up. My obgyn hasn't even tried to hear the heartbeat. Only using the sono to check it. The sono lady said I could pick it up at 12 but nothing yet and I'm 12w3d. Guess I'll keep waiting.

     TTC since April 2013  DH 42 y/o I'm 30  Dh had vasectomy reversal Feb 2013 after 3 months developed scar tissue 
     First Re appt was September 2013 OOP for everything minus meds  
    DH's TESE surgery December 2013
    First cycle was February 2014 BFN none to freeze
     Second cycle was April 2014 BFP ending in Chemical Pregnancy none to freeze
     Third cycle June 2014 BFN none to freez
     Fourth cycle October 30th 28 retrieved, 13 mature and 12 fertilized
    PICSI, assisted hatching and fresh sperm from my DH's TESE surgery used
    5 FROZEN from a freeze all cycle! 
    FET completed on DECEMBER 9TH!!!
    Beta #1 13dp5dt BFP!! 800
    Beta #2 15dp5dt 2100
    Beta #3 17dp5dt 3600 
    First Scan January 5th! Everything looks great! Heart rate of 121!
    Second Scan January 20th. Baby Justone13 looks amazing. Heart rate of 175!
    Baby Girl is due August 27th

    Thanks, ladies. I am checking very low. I do have an anterior placenta also, but the OB still picked it up in 2 seconds.. I think I'm not going to try anymore as it kinda stresses me out.

    My biggest tip is to make sure you've peed immediately before trying. I always had trouble if I hadn't, even though I don't really understand the anatomy of it.

IVF #1 Oct/Nov 2013: Long Lupron with Gonal-F. 7R, 7M, 7F. 2 txfer@3d. Nothing frozen.  => M/C @ 8 wks. :'( Selected RPL panel all normal. Very hyper and brittle response to stims. IVF #2 (antagonist protocol) Feb 2014 => Converted to IUI (Perfect conditions). BFN. IVF #2.1 w/ new RE June 2014: Antagonist protocol. 33R, 31M, 30F, 19 blasts to test!!! I made it through without crashing!! :) Hats off to Dr. Fancypants!! ET of one 5AB blast. BFN. 13 10 CCS'ed snowflakes! FET #1 PUPO as of 7/29 Betas: 8/7@24, 8/9@97, 8/11@334 (etc.) Two sacs on 8/15, one seen on 8/18 after a bleed. U/s 8/25 (6+3) "perfect": 5.9 mm + HB@120bpm! U/s 9/4 (7+6): 15.9 mm + HB@172 bpm!     DH and I look for the heartbeats where the dr found them at the office and we have been successful so far.

    True at first baby sat so low it wa behind my pubic bone and I had to like angle the Doppler to pick it up

    The angel sounds it rated pretty cruddy from my understanding :( I ordered the Sonoline B. I've heard good things about Sonoline B and Sonoline C.

    4/6 - 13w2d - heart rate 165bpm :)
    5/5 - 17w3d - quick ultrasound looks like a GIRL!

    I wish I would have known that. I just bought the first one I saw. Didn't realize they were different. Damn.

    I have a retroverted uterus and anterior placenta. Until 18 weeks I couldn't get a Doppler reading and neither could my OB. It takes practice to get it. Make sure you are using enough gel and look at you tube videos.

    Agree it takes awhile the first time but once you learn where to find them, much easier! Moving just the slightest bit can lose the beat again. Tricky!
