red spotting

I went to the restroom earlier and there was just a little bit of red blood on my underwear. Nothing when i peed and nothing when I wiped. Im 8 weeks today and have first apt. on this coming Wed. Im not having any cramping and i think i had this with my first but dont really remember. Should i be concerned? I have seen post about brown spotting being normal but what about red?

I just got back from doctors about this! He said not to worry unless its filling a pad every hour.

Try not to worry! No cramping is a good thing!

I had red blood on Wednesday night. I called my midwife and she told me not to worry. I Went in Thursday and got checked and everything was perfect. It never hurts to call your dr if you are worried.

Keep us updated! My doc told me not to worry unless I was filling a pad or had heavy cramping.

I've spotted a good bit.
Probably daily, but it's only been when I wipe. Praying for the best!

I had some spotting with my first and everything was fine. (I was really scared, though.) Most of the time as the other ladies said if it isn't heavier it isn't anything to worry about.

I swear there is nothing more terrifying than spotting. I have had 3 or 4 episodes of it now, this morning being the most recent, and I never feel okay with it. I called my doctor the first time and everything turned out to be okay. I have another call into him today. My first u/s is next week so...we will see. He doesn't seem worried and I'm trying to chill. I'd say call your doctor just to get the reassurance if nothing else.

I've had spotting on and off. I have already heard a heart beat which makes me feel better but every time I see it, I get so nervous

Warning TMI...had my appointment in Monday, Wednesday had sex, Thursday bleeding when I used the restroom before leaving work. Called the after hours number and they said the same thing as mentioned above. Unless I filled up a pad in an hour not to worry. The dr said it should stop in a day or two and is probably the result of the exam and sex.

By the time I got home from work, it almost stopped.
