Placenta Previa

Yesterday (21 weeks + 5 days) my doctor told me I have placenta previa. She said I need to limit my activities. (No walking for more than 2-3 hours, no sex, etc.) I'm really worried about some the complications that can come from this. If you had this, what were the outcomes for both you and your baby? Any complications? Also, am I going to have to have a C-Section even if it moves?

Im sure they will recheck the placenta later on in pregnancy. Be sure to follow
Restrictions and ask your doctor about any complications. It may depend on your specific situation. It may be too soon to tell. I have to wait until 28 weeks to recheck. I have marginal and was not given any restrictions. Good luck!

Did they mention to you at all how common it is to move and stretch off the cervix, especially since your 21 weeks. I had it with my 2st and it completely moved. Try not to worry about it.

I had this same thing and was worried with my first one. By the end of pregnancy it had moved enough that there were no problems. I also had a c-section.

Did they schedule another ultra sound in 4 weeks to check? I as well have it but dr said not gonna worry too much at this stage and we have another ultra sound to check if it is moved up.

I have it. And when back and they said it was now marginal. I'm hoping when I go back at week 25 it will have moved completely!

Try not to worry.. It may move, but yes if it doesn't you will need a c-section

I just got told I have it too !! They said no sex (big bummer) and they never said anything about walking hmm ! My gf had it to mine is fully over though hers was 1.5 or something hers has moved ! I have a ultra sound to be scheduled for 30 weeks to check if it's moved ! It can even move right before baby they will keep checking and if it hasn't a c section will be needs
