1. What week are you in? Week 14/15 Any new aches or pains? My BBs are still on fire and now am having a hard time sleeping.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? One week closer to January work deadlines. I will be so happy when this month is over.
3. When is your next appointment? Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 4pm Will anything special happen at that appointment? Don't think so except get NT blood results back and CF screening results back.
4. What works for managing morning sickness that's worse at night? Eating crackers before bed and having them near your bed with water. Helped me.
5. Any tips for dealing with PG-related congestion? I had to use that Neti-pot sinus thing. Worked a bit but also use saline nose spray daily. I'm on day 12 of a cold/flu so I wish I could be more help!
6. Did anyone buy or rent a home doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever you wanted? Was it worth it? Good question - looking forward to answers.
7. When did you buy furniture? DH wants to wait til 32 weeks. He is so sensitive due to our 3 MCs. I'm okay with that if we at least pick it out before then and if we have a bassinet for the first month or two.
8. What are your work plans? Do you plan on going back to work or staying home? How does your S/O feel about this? Current plan is to go back to work. I have a very rewarding career both financially and worth related and I think I will be a better mom if I have both.

10. Anyone NOT want the baby to come early? me! We are due July 6. I would like to make it to the end of Q2 since my job is very realated to fiscal period ends. And i want to have 4th of July with holiday pay not as STD.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? ??Week 8, still dealing with m/s and headaches.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? ??I have a big deposition Wednesday of the lead witness in a huge case at work (there's an Ann Rule novel based on the case).

5.??Any tips for dealing with PG-related congestion? ??If it were me, I'd steal DD's Johnson and Johnson Vapor Bath and take a nice long, hot bath:). ?You can also try saline nasal spray. ?I think Sudafed is ok, but you might want to check on that.

Was it worth it? ??I didn't last time and doubt I will this time. ?I would probably use it wrong and freak out when I couldn't find the heartbeat, so for me it would do more harm than good:).?7.???When did you buy furniture? ??Last time I got everything except the glider and lamps for free. ?This time I've been searching Craigslist and will buy furniture when I find what I'm looking for at a great price. ?I'll buy the glider new again, but probably not for a few more months.

I definitely don't want the baby to come any earlier than 38 weeks. ?However, I remember the last month of my last pregnancy, and it's MISERABLE!!! ?I really, really hope I don't go past my due date this time.?

1. What week are you in? 38! Any new aches or pains? Yeah, the baby's really tryin to do me in in these last few weeks! I guess since the rest of my pregnancy has been so easy I was bound to hit a bumpy patch eventually =/

3. When is your next appointment? not until 1/13 unless I end up being induced due to Pre-E Will anything special happen at that appointment? I dont think so.

5. Any tips for dealing with PG-related congestion? Check with your Dr about using a saline spray or something like that. I heard my dr telling someone they could use Afrin yesterday, but you may want to check with your dr just to be safe.
6. Did anyone buy or rent a home doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever you wanted? Was it worth it? I was going to, but I thought it would cause me more worry than not having one.
7. When did you buy furniture? as soon as we bought our house and had a place to put it! Which was at 6 months.

7. What is your alcohol consumption like when you TTC? I didnt change my drinking habits at all for TTC. If you know youre going to be starving soon, why would you start the famine early??

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Week 17-18. Nothing new- feeling pretty good! I've given up hope on brushing my teeth this pregnancy.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? We start our "Expecting Multiples" class at UW on Thursday. I'm looking forward to learning more about twin pregnancies and also meet other expectant couples since none of my close friends are pregnant or have kids.
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Next Monday is just a normal OB appt and then we have the Big U/S next Thursday! We can't wait to find out the sexes.
4. What works for managing morning sickness that's worse at night? I had this problem. Taking B6 and Unisom helped me a lot. Also, eating a meal around 4:00 helped so I could just snack more later on if I felt too sick to eat. Also, I'd just go to bed really really early and try to sleep through it.
5. Any tips for dealing with PG-related congestion? Nope.
6. Did anyone buy or rent a home doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever you wanted? Was it worth it? I wanted to but DH talked me out of it because he knew that I'd question whether I was hearing both babies' heartbeats and freak out. We ultimately decided it would cause more stress since it would be hard for our untrained ears to tell the babies' heartbeats apart. He knows me too well.
7. When did you buy furniture? At 17 weeks and it arrived yesterday. We want to have the nursery pretty much set up early on in case I end up on bed rest or if the babies come early. We also wanted to spread out the spending. We haven't bought anything else yet though.
8. What are your work plans? Do you plan on going back to work or staying home? How does your S/O feel about this? I plan on going back to work full time. I work for a great company and while we don't depend on my salary, its makes our lives more comfortable. DH fully supports this, but we are both trying to be realistic and realize this plan could change once we meet our babies.
9 Did you notice your mucus plug pass? Don't know yet.
10. Anyone NOT want the baby to come early? Not too early!! This is my biggest pregnancy fear after reading about all the pre-term labor and preemie babies on the multiples board. I think anytime after 35w I'd be ok with it, but my goal is 37.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 35-36w!! Oh gosh - it's those last month aches and pains. This is when I feel like crying when I go to bed because I don't sleep - I can't get comfy! Ugh.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? My sister's bday, parents anniversary, 2 friends' birthdays and my first internal. Busy week!
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Tomorrow- Wed 1/7... GBS and first internal.
4. What works for managing morning sickness that's worse at night? Ugh, I was this way. Fine until about 3-4pm then felt nauseated until bedtime. I learned to eat a cup of oatmeal around 2-3pm, so I'd have something substantial in my tummy. It seemed to help some. I couldn't smell or taste meat without gagging so my dinners were pretty bland, if I felt like I could even eat.

6. Did anyone buy or rent a home doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever you wanted? Was it worth it? I didn't - I know I'd be overly obsessed.

I'd like to stay home but it's not in our cards at this time. That, and DH only works a couple days a week so we'd be home all the time together and probably kill each other.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 35w5d My ligament pain is doing better. Right now I'm feeling like my hips are going to fall apart when I get up now and again.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Not working! Hopefully tomorrow will be my last day.
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Tomorrow. I get a note saying I don't have to work. Oh, and it's the first of my weekly appointments.
4. What works for managing morning sickness that's worse at night? I don't have any pearls of wisdom for this one...night time was the only relief I got. Perhaps if you tried a slightly reclined position instead of lying flat?
5. Any tips for dealing with PG-related congestion? Yes! I sleep in a reclined position (I'm the recliner lady) and I that keeps my nose absoultely clear. I find that if I lay down on the couch for more than ten-fifiteen minutes, I get congested. I also put in a dab of neosporin to keep my nostrils moist, so I don't have to deal with pregnancy mini-nosebleeds.
6. Did anyone buy or rent a home doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever you wanted? Was it worth it? I saw a post on this when I just lurking...the gal ended up selling it because she would check it every time she thought something was wrong.
7. When did you buy furniture? We bought ours on 12/31 and our due date is 2/6-2/14. That seems like a good amount of time, but it has to ship (up to two weeks), and then there's getting it all together, so I feel like I'm behind.
8. What are your work plans? Do you plan on going back to work or staying home? How does your S/O feel about this? My inital plan was to work through the end of January for our February baby, but the whole ligament thing (and long hours at a desk) isn't working, so I'm taking maternity leave early. After my time is up, I intend to go back to work, but at reduced hours. (65 instead of 80).
Eric is totally on board. We sat down and I told him what my goal was, and we looked over both of our finances and decided that we can do it. We made the decision a while ago, so we've had time to save for the period of time I'm not working.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Week 13. Feeling pretty good. After overdoing it at work on Wednesday I stayed in bed all of Thursday and most of Friday. I never had any more spotting after the first one and never cramped at all, so it wasn't really anything to worry about. My body just needed a break.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Dinner with my parents tonight, DH's BFF's 40th bday party on Saturday.
3. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? I'm going in this morning.
4. What works for managing morning sickness that's worse at night? I've been really fortunate and haven't really had any m/s at all, so I'm no help here. Sorry.
5. Any tips for dealing with PG-related congestion? Do tell!! I can't friggin' breathe.
6. Did anyone buy or rent a home doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever you wanted? Was it worth it? This was my Q. I'm interested to see who got one and what you think.

Our plan is that for the first few months that will be me, then after that we'll ideally be able to switch off (every other week maybe?) because our job is essentially the same job. I think both of us would be jealous of baby time (and guilty for working so much) if we were the only one who had to work, but we'd both probably go crazy if we were the one staying home for 3 years. Hopefully it works.

2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Having a free weekend. Dh and I might go test drive cars (we're still in the research phase of getting a bigger car).

4. What part of TTC are you enjoying? The funny conversations DH and I have now. He still gets squeemish over certain topics.

2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Tomorrow I will get the results of the MRI I had on my foot and learn if I'll need surgery. This will determine if we need to take a break from TTC until I'm well-enough recovered.1. What cycle are you on? Waiting to O or 2WW?
Cycle 4, waiting to O. However, we may not be TTC this cycle. It will depend on what I learn about my possible foot surgery.
3. Have you been tempted to buy any baby items even before finding out you are pregnant? This was my question and the answer is YES! We wanted to buy a baby item on our HM since we were trying, but we didn't see anything we liked. I feel like it would be inspirational to have it (not that we need inspiration). I guess I worry a little that having the baby item(s) around could be depressing the longer we TTC with no luck.
4. What part of TTC are you enjoying? Just knowing we are trying to start a family. We've both always wanted kids and it's just surreal sometimes that we are at the point where we can start a family.
5. Is there anything that you are doing for the New Year 2009 to help with your fertility? Acupunture, yoga, etc? I want (both of us) to work on losing some weight and just generally being healthier. I've gained some weight in the last year and I want to lose it again. I'm going to have to be creative about home work-outs, though, if I do need surgery and can't walk or drive for a while.
6. What's your favorite fertility site? I don't have a site that I use. Like LMG, I use the TCOYF software and I really like it. I'm 100% sold on charting. I tried Fertility Friend, for a while, b/c my sister swore by it. But now you get less with a free account than when my sister used it.
7. What is your alcohol consumption like when you TTC? I haven't changed my drinking habits. I only have a drink once in a while, and I don't expect to change until I find out I'm pg.

3. Have you been tempted to buy any baby items even before finding out you are pregnant? We bought baby items during our first pregnancy...mostly cute baby clothes. We lost the baby at 11 weeks, and I was at a loss what to do with the stuff. After a month, I used a craft store trunk and packed up everything from the pregnancy. I knew I didn't want to see it since it was a painful reminder, but it was also a part of me. It stayed in the trunk until we got to week 12 in our current pregnancy, then I went through the items. Now I get to use all those cute clothes for our baby girl and it gave me some great closure on the miscarriage.
4. What part of TTC are you enjoying? Not having to worry about getting pregnant was soooo nice.

7. What is your alcohol consumption like when you TTC? We had a "not preventing" policy when it came to conceiving and I didn't limit my alcohol consumption then. It wasn't a big deal since I had a glass of wine or martini like once a month. When we kicked it up a notch, we switched to a "can have alcohol in a two week gap during my cycle" policy. I wasn't gettitng pregnant, and I hated having a structure like that when all I would get was a big fat negative, so I threw all alcohol policy out the window and had a belllini at an engagement party. Honestly, I was never much of a social drinker, but I just felt that alcohol did not make me a better person. So I made this change overall in my life--the last Strawberry Dacquiri that I had was the end of March 2008--I do not miss it!! My health and my future baby's healthy is very important.

6. Did anyone buy or rent a home doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever you wanted? Was it worth it? Yes, I rented one. It was peace of mind. It took awhile to actually hear the baby's heartrate. I kept thinking I found it. Until one day I REALLY did. oops, it was mine I kept hearing!
7. When did you buy furniture? We went looking right after the big u/s and ended up buying then (they held it for us for 2 months unti the nursery was finished.) It was in the clearance room and a good deal. So about 18 weeks. I got the chair for x-mas at 11-12 weeks.
8. What are your work plans? Do you plan on going back to work or staying home? How does your S/O feel about this? I wanted to stay home (well work at my old job part time around DH's schedule) until I actually went back to work. Then I got offered a new position and never had a 2nd thought. DH would LOVE me to stay home. BUT, we like my salary.
9 Did you notice your mucus plug pass? OH YES!!! Many times it passed for 3 weeks!
10. Anyone NOT want the baby to come early? This was me! I had SO much work to finish up before maternity leave, I wanted to stay PG until at least the day after my due date. (I worked up to the day after my due date) I did get it all done that day and was induced 5 days later. I was in no hurry for her to arrive.

Update - Only one baby in there!! We got to see the heartbeat fluttering and it measured at 130. Everything looks great! :-)

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Week 30 as of tomorrow! My back has really been aching lately.
2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Second meeting with our doula tomorrow, first childbirth prep class Saturday.

Thankfully, my 3 hour glucose test results came back fine, so I don't have to re-do the test after throwing up partway through. Thank goodness!!! And Nancy Drew, I saw that we see the same doc, it will be funny if we are ever there at the same time! I love that office.
4. What works for managing morning sickness that's worse at night? I had "evening sickness" much more so than the morning. I just ate whatever sounded good, which was often carbs.
5. Any tips for dealing with PG-related congestion? Yes, Neti pot! It has been my savior during pregnancy. I discovered if I just do it every day, I can keep bad congestion and sinus pain at bay. If you've never used one, it's funky at first (it's a way to wash out your sinuses with saline) but once you get used to it it really feels good.
6. Did anyone buy or rent a home doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever you wanted? Was it worth it? Nope.
7. When did you buy furniture? Inheriting a crib from my cousin, still need to order our glider.

2. What are you looking forward to this next week? Getting back into running. With the snow and the holidays, I couldn't run for over 2 weeks. I had a good run today.

7. When did you buy furniture? We bought ours at 20 or so weeks, right after finidng out the baby's gender. Plus I read that some manufacturers take a long time to deliver. Ours ended up coming on time.

While I was working we did a plan where I saved all of my paycheck into savings and lived basically off of dh to ensure we could make ends meet.

We've had several ultrasounds so far where we got to hear the heartbeat (including one just yesterday). So I feel comfortable that the baby is healthy. We don't have much money, so we're saving where we can!
7. When did you buy furniture? We won't buy furniture until a month of two before the baby arrives. There's no room yet! We have to rearrange our house and move my husband's equipment out of the office to convert it into the nursery.

My husband works from home, so he will be a stay at home dad. It will be hard, but I will feel more comfortable leaving my baby with his/her daddy than with a daycare provider.
