transitional for BV? Anyone hear of this ?

Hey guys ,
I've been trying to figure this out and I haven't been able to talk to my doctor much about it , but I went in last week because of some odd discharge. It didn't have that characteristic fishy smell that BV has , but it wasn't my normal.
Anyway, he took a Swab but also told me that my results from my 13 weeks Swab 7 weeks ago came back as "transitional for BV" and decided not to tell me as he wasn't going to treat it then. I was a little pissed bc I mean if I didn't go in and get swabbed again, I might have never known I was at risk for an infection that can have serious consequences.
Anyway , he just called saying that it was transitional again and they we should treat it which I plan to.
However I have been doing research and it's been saying Intermediate BV (which i think is the same as transitional ) is best treated before 20 weeks In order to prevent complications and after that , the chances are not reduced .

I know im only 20+2 , so on the cusp, but I'm
Pretty freaked out that I'm going to have PPROM or PTL.
I'm trying to keep a positive attitude and only have 3ish weeks till viability , but with the way this week has been going, I'm a ball of nerves.
All I can say Is that my 20 week ultrasound did not go quite as planned and now I have appointments with a geneticist and high risk OB which makes me even more nervous.

Anyway, has anyone else had this and have been fine ? Is transitional for BV an actual infection ? I need some reassurance to get me through these next few weeks.

Thanks !
