Hello bumpers, this is my first pregnancy after trying for over a year and at my first ultrasound yesterday, they found 3 gestational sacs!!! I was/am shocked and overwhelmed. I always knew that twins were a possibility as they run in my family but I am truly nervous at the prospect of triplets. My ultrasound was early (5w6d) as I'm heading overseas next week and my doc wanted to ensure everything is fine before my trip. The thing is, the tech only found 2 yolk sacs and said the 3rd may not be viable. She may have been trying to calm my nerves though. Would it be too early to see the third yolk sac? Any advice? Thanks!
Re: First ultrasound...TRIPLETS?!
No periods due to 17 years of ballet and distance running after college. Zero response to 2 months of Clomid, little response to Letrozole. IUI left with 9 cysts = too many viable eggs due to age. On to IVF. Low dose of all meds still produced 37 mature eggs 12.6.11. Froze due to overstimulation.
