Solid White Poop -

I'm slightly freaking out. My DS has has light hummus yellow looking poops this week but yesterday at daycare they told me he had one pale yellow poop that he strained to get out causing a little blood and his 2nd poop of the day was white white and solid. I just did some Dr. Googling ( not a great idea I know!) but I was on the John Hopkins website and it mentioned it could be a liver blockage problem. And to get to the doctor right away. Now I'm even more freaking out. I have a few hours before the pediatrician is open. Anyone else have this experience?!
Side note: he had a whole day of vomiting last Wednesday so could it be part of that??
Either way I'm taking him to his peditrician or our family doc today ASAP.

Sorry, just seeing this. How did you make out at the pediatrician?

Maybe it's something he ate, I really don't know... Did you find anything out?

We got into DS peditrician that afternoon. She wasn't overally worried as it has only happened once. She said if he continues to have white poops to come back and she will send him for tests. It could just be a fluke thing. Or it could be from an infection or liver blockage.
Since the appointment his poops have gone back to soft yellow and now a light brown thankfully.
She suggested he drinks more water and up his fruit and veggie in take to see if that helps with the hardness of his stools. Happy to report it's been a better day. Thanks for responding ladies.

Glad to hear. When we made the switch to wcm, and dd was eating a lot less solids, her poop was very light yellow and hard. It was from all the wcm and lack of other food, fruit and veggies. Hopefully its just something similar for your ds.

Dairy causes very light colored stools in my kiddos, but I have never seen them white. Glad they are returning to a normal color!
