UTI or labor contractions?

I'm just curious about experience from those that have had bladder infections in the past as it has been at least 15 years since I had one. So I had my urine tested for a UTI because it was hurting to pee. Dr said it could just be baby pushing on my bladder but it was worth checking. He put me on antibiotics just in case even though I am still waiting on culture results. Flash forward 4 days and I feel like I'm having painful labor contractions. Those that have had UTIs, did the pain ever get like real intense cramping that came and went not just when urinating? I'm not expecting true medical advice and am working with my dr on this, but any insight or experience you have is appreciated since I'm impatient and don't want to have to wait until tomorrow to talk to my dr again . Thanks!
