Hi Lovelys...I'm now 7 weeks pregnant...Last week my husband and I paid for a dating ultrasound at one of these 3d places.. it was one of the worst u/s ever..she pretty much told us she couldn't see hardly anything..grr! And just gave us a few pictures... we ask if we could reschedule but she said no not for free as it not her fault that she can't see anything..this is hubby and i 9th blessing...i could totally be see stuff but do u ladies see two fetal poles?

That is horrible. At 7 weeks my twins already looked like 2 very clear picture little gummy bears

It was such a Bad and disrespectful u/s... When she called me in her next appointment was already waiting... Not sure if she was in a hurry or what her prob was... first she just put the  ultrasound wand for like five sec and told us she could only see a sac and yolk... My husband and I ask if she could look a little more she looked a little and said Nope can't find a pole... Then my husband said to her "hey what's that" Oh yup a baby.... Then she told us baby didn't have a heart beat...nice right... The my husband again, "I see a heart beat!"  Yup she said that a heart beat... we paid £65($100) for that Ultrasound we should of got a video and everything but nope she either forgot to record it or didn't feel it was worth wild?  It would of been worth my wild... what every right...Should have a medical U/S at around 12 weeks... in the picture above I should be 6 weeks  3 days

I'm sorta confused. Do you you already know there are two? If so then you've had an ultrasound so why have another? How do you know you are 7 weeks? There should be a heartbeat between weeks 6 and 7. Sounds like a crappy experience but I still don't get why you're doing an elective ultrasound if you have already had one with a dr to know your weeks and number of babies.

I'm American living here in the UK with my hubby and still waiting for the midwife to call to set up our first appointment. ..Hubby and I paid for a private U/S as we just wanted to confirm everything was well with baby...according to my dates when I had the u/S done last week I was 6 weeks 3 days...today I am 7 weeks...sadly this ultersound left more questions the answer from "I see no baby to...I see no fetal pole.I see no heart beat"..to after my husband point it out a conformation of one baby with one heart beat and a who know to multiple. . It service me right. .I should of just waited till after I saw a midwife...

When my husband pointed out the "first" fetal pole... she measured it and told us she could not  see a heart beat... My husband kept look and told her that he can see a heart beat. She measured that and it was a few 1 mm bigger then the first something or another she measured... Her answer was that you can really tell anything at this point... Eye roll...

I think I can a least say we have one lil coffee bean?  Maybe two? Really it was a waste of money and time...  Will just have to wait for my first medical Ultrasound and take this one I had last week with a big pinch of salt!  Thanks gal... for letting me vent...

zazu13 I havn't seen a Doctor, midwife or had any medical u/s done yet I'm only 7 weeks as of today... Here in the Uk they book you in to see a midwife till around 8-10 weeks...

How was this done? At that gestation it should have been done transvaginally, so if it was done abdominally than yeah you are not going to get a good image. At 6weeks we clearly saw two sacks with two heartbeats.... but I had a transvaginal ultrasound with a top of the line machine in my RE s office. So are u hoping for twins? Because no one here can tell you that by your ultrasound

I'd be demanding my $$$ back. What an awful experience. That far along, you should be able to see heartbeat(s). Esp paying OOP to experience that, I'd be calling a manager and bitching up a storm.

Sorry I don't know why that came up so huge. But we got both heartbeats at that ultrasound also.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience.  IMHO, it's weird to go to a 3D place when you're only 7 weeks.  As someone who works in radiology, I'm sure the tech also thought it was super odd.  That doesn't excuse her attitude though.  Depending on how long she's worked there and her training, it may have been quite some time since she's had to look for a heartbeat/fetal pole.  When people go to a place like that, they are much,much further along.  Also, it u/s should be done transvaginally at that GA.  Again, something the tech may not have done for a while.

She offers dating scans from 7weeks up..so not so odd...will have to look on her web site to see if there are any info if u aren't happy...
