I have not personally but have a lot of family members who have done it. Most of them waited until the baby was about a year old "just in case". You never want to think the worst but if something does happen it would be nice to have the option to try again is what they tell me. My DH and I have been discussing him getting a vasectomy but would wait for the first year also.
If your husband is considering getting his tubes tied, then I feel like you have much larger issues than the opinions of random internet strangers. I don't know what you guys are into..
My SI is getting a V soon after the baby is born. We discussed it over and over and feel like that option is best. If we ever change our mind its easier to get reversed. But Im positive 3 is enough for us
Let's be honest- OP is clearly not concerned about getting responses from this.. as is shown by the fact that she hasn't made her way back here. That, or she feels like an idiot, which is well warranted, and is currently hanging her head in shame.
For one i just joined this bump forum and didn't need all the smart answers but whatever. Took me a while to get back on here cause I do have better things to do that just sit on computer. The only reason I posted on the one in April is bc I am due in April with baby number 2 and it just added this group automatically... I just wanted to know if any other moms were considering it. So no not hanging my head in shame but thanks for the comments yall have a great day!!

Oh geez, I recommend taking yourself a little less seriously. Come on, once you think about it, posting this here was funny.
On a spin off of this post can I just state that I think it is total bullshit that my insurance will pay for me to have my tubes tied at 100% but if my husband gets a vasectomy it is applied towards our deductible and co-insurance! I think if they are going to cover female sterilization at 100% then male sterilization should be at 100% also! To the OP- yes this topic is on my radar (pregnant with #3) but we have not made a final decision.

I think their reasoning (not that I agree) is that if you get pregnant again they will have the cover the cost of the next pregnancy. However, a male could get another female pregnant, but that female may not be under the same insurance. So from their standpoint it would be cost effective to get females on their plan sterilized and not males.

There are more than a handful of possible outcomes, both positive and negative.
