  • Yeah and I heard the best way to feel for your uterus is to feel where you pubic bone is? Or am I completly wrong lol
  • Here's what I think is going on in your head, correct me if I'm wrong:
You've heard a lot of women say "oh, baby is hiding behind your pubic bone," right? So you're wondering where that is so you can know where baby is?
Okay, well, that hard thing under your skin where your pubic hair is is your pubic bone. It has nothing to do with the baby or your uterus, that's just where baby is chillin out. In a few weeks baby will grow big enough to come out from hiding and THAT is when you will be able to feel your uterus pushing out and you will know where baby is.

  • Don't worry if you can't find your uterus yet! At 12 weeks, I got myself upset because I couldn't find it and some women could. I went to the doc a few days later, who of course found it immediately! We just don't really know what we are looking for I suppose. It's there! I'm now 14 weeks and there's def no secret where it's at. Happens fast, you'll know soon :)
  • I'm 12 weeks, and I can just barely find my uterus. It is RIGHT above the pubic bone and it's hard to find. I can't find it lying down or when my bladder is full (ironically). I can only find it when I stand upright and prod around for a couple of minutes.

It's weirdly hard. If you're feeling your pubic bone, it feels like any other bone. Your bladder should be squishy unless it's really full. The only way I can think of to describe how my uterus feels (and it's a TERRIBLE analogy) is like a tumor. It's hard, but still kind of squishy, but more hard than squishy.

Good luck, but don't worry if you can't find it! It's super early!
  • This is a very weird post.  Please stop feeling for your pubic bone.

But, um, aren't you the one with the ridiculous "bump away y'all' post? Apparently you get to decide what's ridiculous and what's not, everybody else just needs to ignore it? She actually had a legit question, although... Asked kind of backwards.

    Feel away, y'all!

sorry, but "um" feeling for your pubic bone ( for some weird reason, not indicated by OP but guessed at by others) and not knowing how to find it is really really weird. Not quite the same as bumping during your second trimester.  But if you think looking around for your pubic bone in normal, please feel away down there... hope you have more success than the OP.
